Peggle about 10 years or so ago? That’s it.

The best mobile games are ones that use the platform in unique ways. I'm still playing "Bury me, my love" months after I bought it, and it's basically just a simulated whatsapp chat. Wouldn't work on anything other than mobile, and uses the platform perfectly.

It's not the kind of game you can pick up and play when you want, though, so probably won't meet most people's requirements for a mobile game.

I played Pac Man 256 a bit, it's pretty decent. In the past i've played a bunch Tomb Raider Go being a particular favourite. Also Monument Valley.

I always have a game or two on the go, at the moment Im playing Ballz (hur hur hur) and recently Im put time into Motorsport Manager and Lines. Anything thats ported to phone is usually gooseberry fool but games that are designed for the platofmr can be decent.

Star Wars galaxy of hero’s is a brilliant F2P game. It plays like a 5 v 5 turn based strategy game. Similar to early JRPG’s. There is a lot more depth to it than first appears.

It was so good marvel cloned it to create strike force, an equally fun game.

DomiNations
Megapolis
Tiny Tower

Don't think any them would really be classed as games, more just "tap the screen a bit". I'm not interested in mobile games that require a challenge, they just have to be something I can see gradual progression in. I wouldn't ever spend any money on any of these (and their adverts for lootboxes at £99.99 are hilarious - who is buying that?!) but they're fine to play whilst I'm having a poo.

This this this. Florence was the most recent example of how to do this well, and everyone should play it.

I have quite a few games on my phone... Pokemon go, the battle cats, merge dragons, candy crush saga, animal crossing and endless frontier at the moment. All free to play, not a penny spent on them.

I did have cytus and deemo on here too but my memory got too full, I absolutely adore both of those, it's just a shame they take up so much.

For a while mobile gaming seemed huge but now it's just sat in the background and making billions from people playing Candy Crush or whatever else is the time sink of the moment. I don't even own a phone because I'm old and grumpy and would rather spend the money on cake and coffee instead and I have a Kindle and multiple tablets which are kind of like a phone if you squint hard enough so I don't game on a phone but do you any more?

According to Bethesda, more people have played Fallout Shelter on mobile than all of their other games combined ever.

That's how big mobile gaming is.

I play a Fire Emblem Heroes and Pokemon Go occasionally and a few other f2p games, but overall I'm not that big of a phone gamer.

Pocket Camp is the only mobile game I've ever got into.

I played Earthbound through on my phone a few years ago if that counts?

Played a round of PUBG on my phone the other day and found it to be quite well utilized for touch screen input. Long time to be staring at a phone screen though and I found my neck and eyes were quite tired afterwards.

Other than that Mario Run is quite good if you like doing the same level over again.

Round the world in 80 days is the best I've played probably. Perfectly suited to mobile format; simple interface with engaging writing. It's a modern text adventure.

No, but only really because my phone isn't very powerful and doesn't have very good battery life. If I could be bothered to rectify all that it would be nice having some fun games at my convenience like that - as I know there are nice some decent games for mobile as well as emulators.

For now if I feel like anything portable I have my 3DS, which is also very good when it comes to emulation (VC/injections/homebrew). I also have a PSP, which I take out on rare occasions.

Started playing Bury Me after you mentioned it and it is just enjoyable. Very very clever.
