Im not a hugger but people I interact with are huggers, so I get forced into it.

Hugs are the best but it's also a weird one with different groups. Female friends pretty much always, male friends at uni mostly, male friends at home barely ever.

Apart from those closest to me, no. I’m no hug initiater. I blame the free hugs people and to a lesser extent evil Lotso the bear for making people suspicious of hugs.

I hug everyone who offers one, or if I'm saying goodbye to someone. Me and Ella are the only "huggers" in my family, everyone else seems to hate any human contact other than with each other.

I'm physically incapable of hugging properly but I'll accept a arm round my shoulders as a semi-hug from family members.

I grew up with a mum who would hug me and tell me she loved me every day and a dad that didn't do either.. I remember when I was really I'll I'd been diagnosed with PTSD and had other issues and my dad hugged me and told me he loved me for the first time I remember.

I'd only ever hugged my mum and people I'd dated, when my kid was born I decided I wanted to hug her and tell her I love her like everyday.

I strongly feel we don't hug enough as people but it still feels kind of awkward.. I only tend to see my fiancee , my dad and my daughter in my day to day life and then work colleagues and hugging them would be strange but in theory I'd like to be more huggy.

I hug:

my mum, my nephew and my niece all the time.

my best friend and the very huggy female friend I have, as and when they come up but I never initiate.

my friends when I'm obviously going through a low patch with my depression. Unless I'm really bad I won't initiate.

When I was in group therapy two of the people were very huggy people. I hated the sessions and didn't like the two people very much so tried to weasel out of any hugs.

I'll hug friends if they're down with it and I won't if they aren't.

I won't go out of my way to initiate a hug because I'm not huge on body touching as the default but at the same time it doesnt offend me or whatever.
