A rather simple question here as I'm a simple sort of person.

Do you hug people?

I'm not a fan of human contact so even shaking hands is a bit much for me and as for hugging you're having a laugh, it's not happening.
I'm pretty sure other than my Mum I've hugged about maybe 3 people ever and I don't plan on there being a number 4.

I never initiate a hug but I have no problems hugging, I just find it awkward to start it but happy to accept it. Obviously I’m talking about people other than my wife and son who I hug all the time.

I live in North America so I have no choice but to hug everybody all the time.

Yep, I'm definitely a hugger. I think I'm quite a tactile person generally.

When seeing friends and family I'll always offer up a hug - but I absolutely accept that not everyone expresses or receives affection in this way so I'd never be offended if the other person declined the offer!

I hug my parents, parents in-law, the wife, my best friend. Nobody else though, unless they offer.

Only family. I feel a bit awkward with others.

A few years ago, one of my co-workers was diagnosed with cancer and came back to work (she was shellshocked). It seemed like the most normal thing to do at that time.

A good mate of mine is such a prolific hugger that he sends out a disclaimer as soon as he meets new people, which I thought was kinda funny with a hint of sadness - more people should be huggers.
