It's on its own proprietary format. Luckily, it is free.

Being from Yorkshire I love the great outdoors, there's so much you can do, Fox Hunting, Badger Baiting, Hare Coursing, Ferreting, Cock Fighting etc...

"Outdoors" is that big area outside of your window. Take a look (you might need to open your curtains first). It can be accessed, for free by simply stepping outside your front door. It's a sandbox environment, but the AI is pretty poor. Graphics and sound are second to none, though.

The rain physics are very good, but my avatar doesn't appear to be very strong. Also I was trying to explore the whole map so I tried running but my character seemed to get tired very quickly and I can't find any information about how you level up. It's all very confusing.

The map is huge, so you should probably try to get yourself a vehicle. I wouldn't suggest stealing one, though, as the police are very persistent, and don't just give up after a while like in other games.

I really love getting out on the coastal paths and the old inland tramways here. Just lovely.

I like how steady the framerate is, even with lots going on.

Is there a PVP-off server for this Outdoors game? I tried to talk to a group of characters that looked like they were of a fairly low level in the hope of getting some tips, but they attacked my character and wounded him.

Where are all the healthkits in this game, btw? He's very low HP at the moment.

I'm afraid all servers are PVP. Try to locate a hospital, or some food, they should help with the HP problem. You can get quick access to a hospital by simply dialling 999 on any telephone and asking for something called an "ambulance".

I found some bandages, which stopped his HP from dropping, but upon trying to locate food the shopkeeper told me I needed "currency" to swap for it. I found some morsels on the floor outside but they only raised his HP a tiny bit. Any tips?

Try going to your safehouse, and looking in the fridge. You can gain currency in a number of ways, much like in Fable II. You can do some menial tasks for it, you can steal it or you can beg for it.

Fuxake.

I'm fairly indifferent to the great outdoors, to be honest. Camping is not my friend.

People keep refusing to let me do tasks for them. I think it may be to do with my character's stats - my HP falls too low during the daylight to work outdoors. It seems that I've rolled a character extremely sensitive to heat and brightness, and once I'm caught in it, I can't move fast enough to get to shade or water. Indeed, once my fatigue level is even at 5 or 6 percent I can't move at all. Can I counteract this, or reroll my char?

You may just have to give up and start over.

Well I picked up some rope earlier and there was a "suicide" option that came with it. I'll give it a try -- okay I hit the button and now something's hap

I thought this thread was about the 80's comedy starring John Candy, how wrong could I have been?

Having spent a year as a conscript, I've had my fair share of camping.

Me, my father and my older brother have gone camping a couple of times, but it's been a few years since last time. My friends and I also went camping to get drunk before we were old enough to go out proper.

We go fishing a lot too, together with my younger brother, but that's in the ocean near our summer house, not in lakes and rivers and such.
