No, but I always have it on silent anyway and usually in my jacket pocket which goes under the seat.

I put it on silent, but I don't get it out and play with it while a film is on because I'm not an insufferable arsehole.

No, but my phone is always on silent and I don’t feel the need to check it when I am in the cinema.

Um no, because I can just put it on silent. Not really any point in turning it off. But I guess for some old devices it's quicker to just turn it off instead of going through some settings to make it silent.

I turn it off. I find it annoying to have it buzzing away in my pocket when I'm trying to focus on something.

Silent and in my jacket pocket.

Completely undetectable.

I set it to silent and I don't look at it.

Visiting the cinema last weekend I was surprised* at how many people think it's acceptable to use their phone whilst the film is on i.e. tapping and swiping it.

I put it on silent and leave it in my jacket on the floor. That's much faster than turning it off and avhieves the same effect for the cinema.

Silent. It never crosses my mind to check my phone while in the cinema, I should probably go more as I'm terrible for compulsively looking at my phone while watching anything at home.
