The Rising was the start of it all, the catalyst, if there is no Easter Rising there is no Republic. I thought I'd simplify why it was on the shirt rather than going into symantecs and derailing things.

I think that's nonsense. Way to overreact.

There was definitely nothing in your post that could have derailed the thread. ;)

Clarification is over reacting? :|

Not sure how else I could explain it tbh.

There's Avast difference between clarifying and derailing.

Loads of knuckledragging poppy related images being bandied around Facebook already.

The sort which informs you to strawberry float off if the poppy offends you.

One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

I don't wear a poppy, but I really couldn't care less if others do.

I wear one, but I prefer the days when it was an apolitical sign of rememberence for the war dead, like the tomb of the unknown soldier. I hope the nationalists don't succeed in hijacking it.

Seen a few folk on Facebook being caught hook, line and sinker sharing fake anger posts about people not wearing one.

Ditto. All the more reason to wear one.
