Can't beat a nice hot cup of mud.

On a separate note, a local group has asked me to make a youtube video of all the poppy related stuff around town, i will however draw the line when it comes to the funeral directors who have decided in all their wisdom, to fill their front window with a poppy adorned coffin.

Please don't film it in portrait mode.

It'll be done with the big camera rather than the phone, and therefore will not be a #short.

That said, it's the short vids which are getting the views at the moment, 1k views for a quickie short i did recently compared with just a paltry 37 for a proper scenic video i filmed (and put a lot of time and effort into) in Cheltenham (town centre and nearby parkland).

That must be annoying. People going for time over quality. Like the video equivalent of a tick tock dance.

Yep, pretty much, it seems to be down to the youtube algorithm too which now favours the shorts, and that's what led to my views and subs dropping during the summer (they only picked back up once i started posting the shorts).

Also, i got 41k views in just 2 hours for a monetised short and got no ad revenue from it, compared to what i get from a normal video which even with low views, can still raise a few extra pence.

That light display is so weird, it's reached the stage where it's almost fetishising remembrance. People just can't contain their white hot love of veterans.

Could you make it a bit bigger because I just got a text from the International Space Station and they're having trouble seeing.

Wording is embarrassing but to be fair I don't disagree with the sentiment. It seems to be criticising ingratitude and those who denigrate the poppy business rather than who simply aren't displaying one.

At the same time I remember this being on the news a few years ago with politicians being attacked for not wearing one on TV and equally thats the wrong way to go. You could have someone who doesn't care less but whose aide has remembered to put one on their lapel for fear of criticism, and someone who cares deeply but has left the poppy on the jacket they had taken off inside the studio. People also get attacked for not kneeling during sports events, I have to assume that those not kneeling aren't racist and do have empathy for black people who were killed in police custody but find something problematic with kneeling? The thing would be not to judge from appearances (looking to see if they're wearing a poppy for instance) but listen to what people have to say.

The only trouble there is that nobody denigrates people for wearing a poppy. And nobody has been attacked for not kneeling.
