Of all the things in the entire world entertainment wise, Doctor Who is the most obviously open to female reboot. It's made me excited for the show again.

The GF is over the moon with this. I think it can only be a good thing.

Good choice, she is a great actress in Broadchurch so should do a good job. It gives them extra scope for storylines, a male Doctor had become pretty stale to be honest.

But the show will live or die on the storylines and it has been abysmal for years now, like a poor early 2000s CBBC drama.

I'm not sure it really matters. Firstly the Doctor is an alien. And in the end it's just a shell the character is in.

The salt levels are amazing. This reaction will be better than the actual show.

My main issue with casting a woman is how I refer to the Doctor now. At least by calling the Master Missy it made it a little easier. :lol:

I wonder if being a woman will affect some people's tolerance of the Doctors twattishness. In my experience people tend to put up with a lot more of it from males. See Star Trek.
