Series 3 has 4 top Doctor Who stories though - Blink, Human Nature, The Family of Blood & Utopia(although I only really like the end to that story). I also have a soft spot for 42.

well i agree blink 42 and the master trilogy were decent enough (though they werent free of flaws) most of the series i wasnt fond of

Season 3 has some great stuff towards the end of it. As Ord said, The Family of Blood twin parter is just great. Blink is also phenomenal. Also love the raised stakes in the Finale.

Not too keen on Psychic Jesus Doctor at the end of it though

Honestly I think 3&4 are better then 1&2. Fires of Pompeii :o The adipose  The return of the Sontarans. :datass: Such a long way away from farting aliens.

As for Jedi Jesus Doctor........ :dread: I'd say it ruined the finale but then I remember super ancient doby Doctor happened before that. I'd been really liking that run of stories until the end. But that final part just undermined the rollercoaster it had been.

Midnight and Turn Left were absolutely fantastic and redeemed that season for me. I couldn't quite work out who the blonde lady was in Midnight, until I looked it up online. Mrs Doyle! And she was incredible.

Turn left was also like a tonned down version of the movie Threads. That was pretty cool.

It's just the episode ideas that were kind of lacking for me. Didn't really like the Sontaran and Pompeii episodes that much, and the Ood one just fell flat.

Donna was however, much better than I remember. She's loud, brash, and really doesn't give a strawberry float. I'm glad they moved away from the love interest type of character.

And Wilfred

Oooo I never finished the Boxset (Dark Eyes 3 wore me out I think) but that's nice

I really need to look at Big Finish again for new stuff.

I didn't even buy Class when the descriptions made it sound like "More Stories from" rather than a continuation

Who is moving to Sundays, new series starts on the 7th of October:

Maybe that'll help avoid the constantly shifting time slot problem?

That’s a good move, because there is so much quality TV on a Saturday night….. :slol:

As a traditionalist this annoys me. As someone who works on Saturday nights this pleases me.

It got leaked last night actually but the BBC started sending out legal demands to fan sites to remove the news. Seemingly so they could announce it less then 24 hours later. :fp:

Sunday? That's perhaps surprising... but, if it means it gets a regular "good" timeslot, this sounds okay. I haven't thought too much about the new series but I'm now quite excited to see it up and running. My Who appetite has grown since experiencing TWA / Twitch's Classic Who run during the summer :-).

I won't watch that, TWA, because I want to go into the new series totally fresh... but I'm excited that we're only a month away from launch!

I think it's a specially made shot Jawa so you won't spoil anything. Apart from maybe your ears.

I am not really looking forward to this Doctor, but then I admit I wasnt looking forward to Smith and I ended up really liking him so will see where it goes.

Thanks, dude. Just watched it.

I'm not cool enough to know if that music is famous and from some current chart-topper or whatever. But, yeah, it's ropey  .

I like that; it's vibrant and looks exciting! I'm feeling positive about this new series (even though I've avoided reading barely anything about it!).

Same here Jawa, I'm very much looking forward to it and have been keeping my head down to avoid any potential spoilers or things that may cloud my initial judgement!
