Hope those that got the set are enjoying it. :toot:

Well the Power of Kroll wasn't quite as shite as I remember it. Up tonight though we see the conclusion to the Key to Time saga then the start of Douglas Adams run as chief Who man. Just so happens to include one of the all time greats of Doctor Who. Not to be missed. :capnscotty:

The Armageddon Factor, Destiny of the Daleks, City of Death | Block start times- 19:00 | 01:16 | 07:32

I have a soft spot for The Armageddon Factor. I know its a bit long and they ran out of money but I've always enjoyed it.  :shifty: Then we get Crappy of the Daleks topped off with City of Death. Which is utterly utterly brilliant.

Twitch goes crashing into the 80s tonight. And I mean crashing....... :dread:

The Creature From The Pit, Nightmare Of Eden, The Horns Of Nimon, The Leisure Hive | Block start times- 19:00 | 01:51 | 08:43

Can't say I'm a fan of Pit/Eden/Nimon. I look forward to seeing them again after a long loooooong time and maybe I'll change my mind. But for me its just clumsy silly nonsense during most of this season. This is where Shada would have happened btw. Then we reach the start of a new era, Tom Bakers final season, with The Leisure Hive. With a new team of creators at the top the show regains its Sci-Fi focus and the production gets a make over.

Uhm... you're not really selling this evening's show, Matt :dread: . I struggled a little bit with the episode(s) I watched last night (i.e. TOTP crew spinning around and then laying down) . But, hey, I may join for the start this evening just to see if it grabs me!

Anyone got experience of The Big Finish App? Any good?

Between Class () and new Star Trek tempted to give a proper go (The Eighth Doctor stuff might not have been...entirely...legitimate....maybe)

You enjoyed the Invasion of Time. You could like anything. :slol:

Grum and I watched the full The Creature from the Pit storyline. Pretty funky stuff... Wolfweeds, a giant green blob and re-positioning a star. Was kinda slapstick fun... and quite astounding when the Doctor decided to start rubbing bits of the Tythonian! :o  .

Made it back and you have all gone. Not surprised. Just me to watch Nimon.

That was quite odd; seeing the Doctor blowing that creature was... uhm... unexpected.

I kinda liked the new voice - I felt it brought a bit of personality to K9! It was quite funny how often he was picked up and carried in the first storyline, too!

...oh, and unfortunately I'm afraid that I won't be around to join the show this evening. I may be about late and I'll dial in if I can.

I think I was a little harsh on Nightmare of Eden. Its not very well realised but its got a decent story with some strong themes.

The Horns of Nimon though :dread:

Shame you didn't watch the Leisure Hive Jawa. The Doctor actually turns into you....

Image

Oh and....... "You mentioned Foamasi?"

Love that bit so much.  They really tried to update the show at this point but went massively over budget making this one. Some of the music was just immense. Things are on the up after some of that silliness.

Meglos, Full Circle, State Of Decay | Block start times- 19:00 | 23:59 | 04:58

I've not seen Meglos in aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages. Some say its shite. Some think its not given the credit it deserves. What I do know is that a very familiar face will turn and its going to make chat cry. Then we start the E-Space trilogy with the interesting Full Circle and then get State of Decay. Which is fab is you don't mind a little bit of camp horror.

"It's the end... But the moment has been prepared for."

Warriors' Gate, The Keeper Of Traken, Logopolis, K9 And Company | Block start times- 19:00 | 01:06 | 07:13

Epic night ahead. With many important things happening. Warriors Gate is either incredibly imaginative and interesting or an obtuse bore depending on who you talk to. :shifty: The Keeper of Traken is a lovely, if a bit slow, tale of a fantastical alien world. Then we have Logopolis, my own personal fav Doctor Who story. Its all on the line here. Then we have K9 and Company. The first Doctor Who spin off! :o :toot:

I'm working :( but hope to make it back as soon as possible. :D

I'm not gonna be around this evening so I'm annoyed to be missing these two. Rather like last night, I may be back in time to join late-on.
