A nice lesson in the partition of India, too. Really quite enjoyed that ep.

I liked it too. Better than the last two episodes for sure.

I hope they don't kill off Graham by the end of this series.

i really liked that story

i liked that the aliens had turned to honouring the dead, and werent bad, reminded me of twice upon a time "its not an evil plot, i dont know what to do when its not an evil plot"

Another good episode. Get someone in to write space stories as good as the history ones and we're set!

As with Rosa it was a cracking episode as it dealt with human darkness rather than alien darkness.

Humans are scarier than any monsters that we can imagine.

I thought at the end it was going to be revealed that the Nan became pregnant in her wedding night/day and kept it secret from her second husband and family.

This was the best episode of the series so far, I definitely enjoyed it. And just when I was getting fed up - classic Doctor Who

The aliens were great

I've just watched Demons of the Punjab... man, what a bittersweet episode. I have a pal who is Hindu and married a girl who is Muslim, so this story struck a chord with me in terms of the differing perceptions that people have; and the alien twist only added to that line of thinking.

I thought it was a lovely, albeit sad in many ways, episode and, coming hot on the heels of - in my view! - a great episode last week, I feel like the series is on the rise.

Oh, and Prem was a hero :( .

I really liked the idea of the young man radicalised by what he hears on the radio, good parallel for the MAGA chuds of today.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Sphinx owl is adorable.

The two good episodes for me thus far this season have had two things in common: they’ve relegated the aliens to having partial roles while historic humans take centre stage, and they’ve made the most of the side-characters (Ryan in Rosa, Yaz here). This heavily suggests that no Doctor-centric episodes will be much cop until they whittle down her mates a bit.

Who suggested killing off Graham? That sounds like a good call.

I don't think it's the historic focus that's made them the best episodes, I think it's the plot and writing being better because they're constrained by the history.

Killing off the best character in the show is not a good call.

Nobody has suggested killing off Yaz's dad.

You might have forgotten him, but he is the tireless worker in the background, collecting the rubbish and sifting through it until he finds out the true answer. Yaz’s dad is a strawberry floating hero.

Ok, Yaz's Dad to get a spin-off show like Torchwood or Sarah-Jane Adventures.
