To be fair, they did show the train breaking down.
It broke down, the driver died, most of the people on board had to evacuate and run across the tracks to safety, those left on board had bombs implanted in their bodies and one of them became a target for an extra-terrestrial hitman.
I don't know how bad the average train in Sheffield is but it would have to be strawberry floating horrific for the above to be described as "working"!
I think that’s just a normal Tuesday.
The numbers that appear next to trains on departure boards in Sheffield aren't the times of the train they're actually a record of the number of passengers who have been assassinated by aliens so far that day.
That episode was definitely better than the first. The premise was good and the three guest characters (including the race organiser) were well used.
Once the robots appeared things starting getting ropey. They could shoot worse than stormtroopers, the call of duty moment was cringey, the EMP was classic doctor ass pull, the ghost cloths were jarringly out of place and completely unnecessary, and the fireball solution was a bit dumb (but at least the cigar was set up).
Decent episode again, the ghosty ribbons were a bit of a farce but other than that didn't really have any problems with it. The Stenza popping up again and the Timeless Child malarkey surprised me, thought they said they weren't doing any overarching story this series but clearly they're laying the groundwork for something.
