It was either Danny Pink or the Brigadier (character from old Who, his daughter was the lady that fell out of the plane). I can't remember which one actually shot her.

That was because he saved his daughter. I thought Missy getting shot was after Danny led the Cybermen to all explode in the sky

The Doctor saluted the Brigadier because the Brigadiers daughter told the Doctor it was the Brigadiers most wanted thing (can't remember the exact wording.)

Missy was shot by the brigadier, and yeah it was after Danny and the other Cybermen went boom in the sky.

I know, I'm just unsure about the order it all happened in.

Ah, the order was Danny and Cybermen die, Missy gets shot by cyber brigadier and "dies", then the find the Brigadiers daughter.
