I have completely fallen off the schedule, dude. Realistically I am going to have to bypass a few storylines in order to re-join the journey. I hope that Matt views this as embracing time travel rather than slacking off.

Things about The Time Warrior

This is the first story to feature the blue "slit scan" title sequence including the now famous diamond logo. Of course its the first appearance of Sarah who would go on the most famous of all the classic companions. Not only returning in series 2 story School Reunion but she had 2 of her own spin offs! But the firsts don't stop here! The Time Warrior is the debut of the Sontarans. The clone warrior race have been one of the most popular races in Doctor Who and gone on to feature in many stories since. BUT THE FIRSTS DON'T STOP HERE! No sire, this is the first story to name the Doctors homeworld.......... Gallifrey. That's right, it took over 10 years for this to happen!

Barry Letts was very disappointed with the effects at the climax. He had told the director about the successful model shot used at the end of The Daemons, the director unfortunately ignored this. But on the DVD release its been given a bit of an update.

The archer Hal was played by Jeremy Bulloch. He would go on to play........

The dialogue is a hoot and I love it.

Doctor Who- GR Classic Who Club- The Ark in Space

So after 5 seasons Jon Pertwee bowed out as the Doctor. His suave more action orientated take on the time lord oversaw a very popular era with consistently high ratings with some notable highs. Having been "killed off" the Daleks returned after 5 years in the super Day of the Daleks. For the 10th anniversary he teamed up with the previous Doctors to save the Time Lords in The Three Doctors and of course he did battle with the Master on many occasion. Some of other noticeable stories include- anything from his first season. The Sea Devils, Carnival of Monsters, Frontier In Space, Invasion of the Dinosaurs and his exit in Planet of the Spiders.....

The 3rd Doctor would go out bravely, facing his fears and making 10 look like a whiny little pussy. Planet of the Spiders tied together a number of minor threads from Pertwee's run as the Doctor. It also was the first story to feature the term "regeneration" as an explanation for the Doctors ability to metamorphosize into a new man.

A NEW FACE

"There's no point being grown-up if you can't be childish sometimes."

Tom Baker had been chosen to play the new Doctor. It would be one of the final acts of the outgoing Barry Letts and one that would take the show on to new heights. The 4th Doctor began life at UNIT HQ, in the story "Robot", and quickly had them bewildered. He wasn't the only new face. Harry Sullivan was a royal marine surgeon who had joined UNIT. He had been previously named in Planet of the Spiders before appearing in Robot, the opener to season 12.

Harry would join Sarah and the new Doctor for the adventures to come......

Story 13-

The Ark in Space

In the far future the TARDIS, containing the freshly regenerated Doctor alongside Sarah and Harry, lands on a seemingly deserted space station orbiting Earth.

Jawa's punishment is that he will lose the secret competition to be Matt's assistant in the new series of Doctor Who.

The announcement of Jodie Whittaker was just to distract from the fact that they had really picked Matt :toot:

Hypes you and I have passed the test and will be the new assistants :toot:

If Jawa watches some more he can play Doris the cleaner. Jawa practice saying "Oh nooooooooo"
In preparation for filming.

 . I do genuinely feel bad that I have fell away from this :( . I am keen to check out the Tom Baker era, though, and so perhaps this could be a great time to jump back on board.

Seriously though Jawa try not to skip Pertwee. It would be a shame to miss out as he was brilliant.
