That Ice Warrior bears a striking resemblance to Louis CK.

Quite light for an opener - although arc hints are still ridiculously heavy handed.

Bill grated, but not as much as expected

Enjoyed that. Creepy and tender story. Was really worried about Bill and whilst I'd still have liked something different I thought she was nice. Optimistic specially with Nardole around.

The Movellans

Decent start, not totally sold on Bill yet but she wasn't as annoying as I'd expected.

The press are claiming tonight that the next Doctor will be:

Kris Marshall, that guy from My Family and Death in Paradise.

Could see that, more casual appeal than someone like Capaldi.

I'm not sure about Bill yet but I don't have a good feeling. Really not liking the seemingly a super genius but also a complete strawberry floating idiot thing she has going on.

Will the Tardis get a BT logo put on the side of it?

I feel like that might end up working into her backstory, there's clearly some funny business going on with the Doctor taking photos of her dead mum.Hopefully it doesn't reach Clara levels of silliness though.

That would be a ridiculously safe pick for the next Doctor :dread: Coupled with Chris Chibnall I think I'd stop watching if that happened

Gave up part way through Capaldis run as the show is now just so awful but always hoped it could regain the magic.

If that's the actor they're choosing, so long Doctor Who forever :dread: :dread:

Anyone else think Bills "vision" would make for a better title sequence then the one we have now? :shifty:

I think that could be
more that she's just had no opportunity to use her mind because she was raised by a single foster parent.

She's a bright young girl who hasn't had the opportunities in life to do anything with it. That's all. She isn't super genius or any bollocks like that. At this point she is probably the most down to earth companion since Donna or Martha. Much like with Rose the Doctor sees potential in her that without him might be never fulfilled and through her he sees the universe afresh again. This is why he goes back in time and takes photographs of her Mum. To give her moments to live rather then nothing.

I wish Donna had died in a really painful screaming slow way. I never get what I want though :(

Donna was still better than Rose and Martha. Especially Rose.
