:o . "Controversial", Matt?

I will join at the start to see the arrival of the new Doctor, but I will be multi-tasking a bit so I may lose track of some story aspects :-) .

When is the new series supposed to start? It feels like the gaps between each series are getting bigger.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Tonight on Twitch is the rest of Sixies first season. Shame they will be skipping one of his best but that's a good reason to be a GR Who club member! :toot:

The Mark Of The Rani, The Two Doctors, Timelash | Block start times - 19:00 | 01:24 | 07:48

Despite not being great there are some interesting things that these stories bring to the Whoniverse. I'm sure it will bring a few smiles to people.....

SNAP!

I'll be interested in seeing Mark and Timelash again for the first time in years.

I see that the format is changing to 45-minute episodes for these storylines.

The Mark Of The Rani - 2 x 45 minutes
The Two Doctors - 3 x 45 minutes
Timelash - 2 x 45 minutes

I'll join at 1900 to watch that first double-episode storyline.

Was actually a little surprised how much I liked Mark of the Rani and even............ Timelash. Both have some issues, certainly the latter does. :dread: :dread: :dread: But at the same time I rather liked some of it. :shifty:

So tonight we have.....

The Trial Of A Time Lord | Block start times- 19:00 | 01:32 | 08:05

Whats that? One story? Well kind of. Tonight you get the chance to see a whole season of Doctor Who. Much like the Key To Time season its broken in smaller stories.... The Mysterious Planet, Mindwarp, Terror of the Vervoids, and The Ultimate Foe. However unlike the Key to Time the stories are far more connected. Trial is an ambitious project and if viewed as one story is the longest Doctor Who at 14 parts.

I happen to really rather like Trial. But its a hard one to properly judge because of how the stories are told. Its hard to recommend any parts because it might be a bit tricky to follow. I'd say Mindwarp and Vervoids have the strongest individual stories but again. Its all mixed up. However, and this is important, I really think you should still tune in and give it a go. If nothing else watch the opening model shot of the season and ask..... why couldn't they have this much money all the time? Such an amazing intro........ then you get that studio. :(

Trial comes off the back of the show being on hiatus for 18 months after being cancelled only for fans to get it back on TV. Leaving the production team to cull season 23 for a whole new one. Bit gutted I'm working tonight as I don't think I've ever watched it in one go before.

Thanks, Matt. I plan on tuning in to check out the start but I probs won't stay as I have a couple of things to sort out.

Keen to see the opening shot and assess the wow factor, though :-) .

I’m still watching. I wonder if the app is being weird as I have sent you messages in the chat window but had no response.

Hope you are still enjoying the trial of a time lord :)
