I mean, make videos, not just watch them?

Here's my personal channel - http://www.youtube.com/user/toxicrf

And here's the videogame related stuff - http://www.youtube.com/user/randomfurytv

I've only recently started getting into making videos properly, but it's so much fun!

I've been running a gaming channel for a while now (see my sig below). I have over 115,000 views so far - not bad, considering I don't do commentaries. Somehow I've gained 65 subscribers along the way. It's fun and I enjoy doing it, but I doubt it'll ever be more than a pleasant little hobby for me.

I'm getting into it. Don't have many subscribers, or get many views, but I'm slowly getting better. Figuring out how to do it all.

Cal, your gaming opinions shouldn't be allowed anywhere near Youtube. I still have mental scars from playing Vampire Rain.

I really liked your first videos.

I have a channel nearing 3,000 subs and 2m views. It's not really anything frequent or uniform but it's something. Gets me about $40 a month too.

Have just started a Lets Play channel beginning with Sonic the Hedgehog for the Master System

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCfl0B ... v_nMcqZubQ

:<

Need to mess around with the sound and things to get it all sounding good (and my voice ha). Will be doing retro Nintendo, Sega, DOS games (like commander keen, jill of the jungle, jazz jackrabbit etc) and point and click adventure games like Ben Jordan and Grim Fandango.

My next LP is probably gunna be Famicom Detective Club part 2.

What do you guys think...?

Nothing wrong with the content, but I think you'd be well served to record your audio separately and edit it in audacity.

Thanks for the suggestion, :D for my next videos I messed around with the noise filter gate in my video recording program so theres less white noise in the background. I might do just what you suggest, only thing is syncing it up to the game video - open broadcasting software records video and audio and seems to do a decent job of it! (:

Part 2 will be up in half hour

My advice would be to just start making videos. A theme or this magical "something" you wanna do with your channel will form. And start soon, as the longer you leave it, the harder it'll be to start.

I piss about with youtube.

I'm currently working on something that I reckon is going to take up my entire summer. To get to the point, I don't want to do your regular 5-15 minute youtube videos like everyone else, I want to do an actual video games show of some kinds, episodic programming. Episodes that are 30 or 60 minutes long. It's going to take a lot of work to make a series that is A) half decent, B) that length and C) is done in a reasonable amount of time. My plan is to make everything then release them weekly. I don't even care if no one watches it I just want to make it even if it is like a 5 episode series or something.

Started using Audacity with OBS to record videos, should hopefully have better quality starting with my LP of Ben Jordan 2.

In the mean time, since I don't really have any subscribers to ask (ha! exept you turningking <3) - I am going to start a brand new Pokemon Randomizer Nuzlocke (never done a randomizer or a nuzlocke before) and aren't sure what would be best. Any suggestions from Red > BW2 (and including hacks like Storm Silver/Blaze Black etc) please would be awesome.

If it is one of the GameBoy/GBC versions I will take that team into a Pokemon Stadium Lets Play (:

Just finished my Sonic 1 LP for Master System and today I will be uploading Part 1 of a Mario Kart Super Circuit 2-Player LP in celebration of Mario Kart 8!

Should be up in a few hours on my channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCfl0B ... v_nMcqZubQ

Anyone up for giving me some feedback on this video? First time I've used a Green Screen, so it's far from perfect (audio needs to be better too), but I'm buying a solid board to nail my GS to for a bigger area to work with (and I'll not use the whiteboard again either).

I've also removed the in-game music as Nintendo auto-matches it now and will slap an ad on it (even if you don't want them to). It'll also allow me to monitise it for myself rather than let Nintendo take it.

this one was never released outside of Japan but there's a fan translation that translates the whole game! it seems to have a lot of new game exclusive cards and is pretty fun (:

hope you guys could check it out and leave a like or tings

Hmm, i may need to get that Penguin game. Been rooting through my old retro stuff and got around to testing two old systems I've owned for donkeys but never actually used: My Pc Engine and an old Famiclone. Managed to get both working, but the famiclone is an especially nice turn up for the books because it opens up import games like that, and it is, ironically significantly more reliable than my NES because toploader and no lockout chip shenanigans.

Looks like fun.
