I'd love to give it a go, but I have a face for radio and a voice for silent movies, so I should probably stick to the writing.

Welcome to every creative endeavor/hobbie/job ever undertaken.

Honestly though if you speak to people that's 100% normal, it just means for the most prolific people you see more of that 5% that actually gets finished / isn't total gooseberry fool.

Too true, got a bunch of half-finished guides (including an 11k word unfinishedMajora's Mask guide :fp: ) that God only knows if I'll ever get around to finishing.

Good videos also take time to edit properly with transitions, synching voice overs, lower thirds, rendering, uploading etc etc. And all for a video that lasts a fraction of the time you took to make it.

Case in point, my highest recommended skillset on LinkedIn is photography. I work nowhere in photography. I can't say that isn't genuine - I've done loads of photography projects, I am a good shoot, know my theory, the darkroom and Photoshop and Lightroom etc. etc., degree units and so on. I've taken thousands upon thousands of photos. How many have I showcased online? Erm... one. Literally one photo. This one actually:

Behold my 5%. Or maybe 0.001%.

First video I know it's rough still trying to get to grips with certain things.

Yep i have a YouTube channel, making humorous videos loosely based on medicine and life as a doctor.

I have 1,137 Subscribers by the looks of it, which is cool :D

Here's a video:

I've got a couple of projects i'm brainstorming and soon-to-start, but not medical, so unsure whether to make a separate channel or broaden the remit for this one.

I met PewDiePie once a few months back on a trip to Brighton ( had no idea he lived there ) and got to touch him.... But was not able to pick his pocket. I generally like his videos but damn I'm jealous of his wealth... Ten years younger than me too jammy sod

I didn't know that either. Isn't he one of the wealthiest young people now? I had to explain this to my dad the other day, which made him double take, that's pretty rare. It's a good way to point out the popularity of video games these days, that people are happy to just watch people play them to that extent, nevermind buy any.

The problem with you Contardation is that your main platform is PS4, which is fine but I don't follow Playstation folk although I have subbed to you anyway.

Barely any X1 exclusive Ms reviews/looked at, no Forza (either), Dead Rising 3, Killer Instinct, Titanfall, Sunset Overdrive, Ori, MCC etc.

I've been using youtube more often recently. I cast two StarCraft Broodwar tournaments called STPL and BOSL I run over on teamliquid.com. The only other thing I upload is MK8 videos for now. https://www.youtube.com/user/QikzSC

Been thinking of getting into this game for a while now... I know that video capture cards (such as the Elgato HD60) are pretty cheap in the grand scheme of things, and that the necessary requirements for getting on board the whole video presenting / review game are pretty small, but I just wanted to get some idea of your experiences so far with this whole YT venture.

If I did ever go down the whole YT thing, I'll be looking to do something more like CGR whereby I won't always be looking to review the latest (+ trendiest) games. I'll most likely just start with my back catalogue as it will actually give me an excuse to play the damn things...

I posted before about my channel Short Sharp Scratch productions.

This latest video isn't about gaming, but may be of some interest/entertainment anyway!

Yes, searching for "Cosmo plays Games" usually finds me... I tend to play anything that takes my fancy and already own / get hold of cheaply. Plan to do more classic adventure games as well as lots of old school games from my early years as a PC gamer.

Doing skyrim September, or September of skyrim (haven't figured a proper title as yet) so as to finish my first "long-play" game from when I started.

I've been thinking about doing some YouTube videos again but I don't really have anything new to offer the world.

If anyone remembers, I did have a brief stint a few years ago with T-Mag Adventures. Looking back on it now, it was very Karl Pilkington-esque before he was even a thing and I remember you guys appreciating them. Makes me really wish I'd carried on with them as I wonder if I could have made something of them.

Hmm, wish I still had them but the only thing I have left is my Halloween spoof.

If I get some ideas, I'd love to give it another go but it's finding something I can be passionate about.

I remember your 'How to make Breakfast' video, from a long time ago.
