Does music give you the chills?

Fed up talking videogames? Why?

Does music move you?

Yes - I get goosebumps like a virgin at a prison rodeo.

Some music moves me, and more often than not it's a particularly awesome piece from a game, TV show or film soundtrack. That, or it's something I've attached strong feelings to.

For me it's random, even music from games does it. Like old as strawberry float games. You know bleeps and bloops.

Yeah I love the emotional music.

I've always been a big fan of Eels (although not listened much to their recent stuff) and the sad gooseberry fool E sings about can be so moving, especially after reading his autobiography, and making the links in the songs to his sister, mother etc.

I'm also a huge fan of the Antlers concept album 'Hospice', there's nothing quite like it, it takes you through the dark story of a hospital worker who is in love with a female cancer patient. When you listen to the whole album through, to the chilling beginning songs, building up to the melancholic 'Bear' to then have the song 'Two' sum up the whole twisted story so far in one beautiful tune, and then the songs Shiva and Epilogue just send you into emotional turmoil. It's great.
