So I'm going to E3 on Friday. Someone told me the wi-fi is pretty awful over there and I could do with a dongle. Unfortunately, he has refused to elaborate exactly what type of dongle I might need and which would be best for my needs (basically, liveblogging the event and just being able to access the internet for research/other news/etc.)

Yes, I'm a big old Luddite idiot. But can someone help me?

Probably a 3G broadband dongle. You can either go for pre-paid or contract.

gooseberry fool, you said E3. That's in America right? (In which case, I haven't a clue what he's on about too, unless the American's have equivalents of what I've been wittering on about)

Buy a PAYG 3G dongle once you are over there.
