What I meant was, if Microsoft had to make a console that sold at £349 instead of £449, would the specs be any different to the PS4 Pro.

Conversely, what would be stopping Sony from making a $449 box with the same specs as Xbox One X?

Please, Sony, don't make a Super Pro.

If the next consoles are truly coming 2020 I can't see much point in this. They should also start thinking about cutting the Pro price or abandoning it.

Yes?

If Microsoft release Xbox Two for £349 in 2020, how do they justify the Xbox One X?

Do they discontinue it?

How low can they drop the price in the space of 2 years?

Same way phone manufacturers justify new and better phones 6 months to a year after the last one?

So they discontinue the X and release the Xbox Two?

Can't see them dropping the X price down low enough to justify having both on the market.

Maybe PS5 and Xbox Two will be £399 at launch, wouldn't be surprised with the current price of GPUs.

Maybe we're looking at 2021 launches.

We will be well into Brexit by then. Consoles will cost $499/€450/£5,000

Doesn't work like that for phones does it. The previous flagship phone gets a discount but still available. I have the S9+ from Three, 8GB data unlimited calls and texts and is £49 a month for 2 years. S8+ with same package is £2 cheaper from Three.

How much can they discount the Xbox One X in 2 years without making a huge loss, it's already sold without profit/loss according to Phil.

I thought manufacturing hardware got cheaper over time? If so, well theres your discount. We should split this topic also.

For how great the Xbox One X is, can't help but wonder how different it would be if they tried to compete on price with PS4 Pro.

The two machines are built completely differently with the Pro having a much much cheaper cooling system for a start.
I don't think it's fair to expect the price of the One X to be the same as the Pro as it must cost much more to produce.

Maybe Brexit will be ultra successful and the PS5 will only cost £50 :shifty: .
