I did chuckle a bit when I read that! I'm hoping this is only in handheld mode!

Why can't they get these ports right? I get they've fixed some issues but this is bad.
I mean it's not quite Ubisoft Tetris levels of bad, but it's not good.
Remember that's still a whopping 4x the native Doom resolution of 320x200 - people in 94 would have died for a hires mode like this!

The Switch is more than capable of churning out 1994 Doom at 60fps, regardless of how high they pump the resolution. There shouldn't need to be any trade-off for that.

Oh absolutely, no disagreements here. Technology from 20+ years ago can run Doom at higher resolutions than this!

I already have Doom on PS4 but can't really say no to Doom II at that price, isn't Doom 3 cheap as chips too?

The last thing I need right now is more games I mean I've already got Dark Souls, Yooka Laylee and Spider-Man on the go and I've just bought Yooka Laylee and the Impossible Lair but I can't resist a bargain.
What's more I promised myself this year I'd stop buying games I didn't plan on playing right away... oh well.

Doom 3 is fantastic, if you appreciate it for what it is. I love it but it doesn't have the same place in my heart as the first two games and I can understand the flack it got at the time for being different.

Not sure if Double Impact is one that I've played but I know it's well regarded. Will probably check it out if it's a new one to me.

Just picked up Doom 3 for a few quid. Never played it before so looking forward to trying it out
