I think I tended to use the shotgun with the four shot burst upgrade. But I think I pretty much used every weapon in the game.

I loved that moment.

Don't be afraid to use it either, you will pickup more ammo for it than you'd think.

Finished this earlier. Some of those fights near the end were insane, just jumping and frantically trying to stay alive and somehow managing to :datass:

I got a new mouse last month which had really helped now I'm used to it, really precise.

Christ almighty, this game is absolutely insane. Went back to it after rage-quitting in level 6 and I'm glad I did. Proper, proper hardcore. I dare say it's made me a better gamer. Dying quite a bit on this last level though :fp:

Can't imagine what it's like playing some of the end game on a pad (I'm assuming you're on console).

It's all I really know so it was fine for me. I bet a mouse is great for headshotting though, I never had time for such precision.
Did anyone else find the last boss the easiest? That gooseberry fool was crazy though, yo. I need a lie down.

I'm well versed with both, more at home on a pad if I am honest, but I found all of Doom to be easy going with a pad.

Final boss took me a few attempts (three at the most) but it wasn't super hard. Dat nostalgia tho.

I died a few times on the cyberdemon, and a couple on the multi boss fight but I don't remember dying on the last boss.

I really liked the glory kills for getting a scrap of health just when you needed it.

When you get the beserk power up and just start going to town...Jesus, I've seen nothing like it in 25 years of gaming. Where's the BBFC when you need 'em?!
strawberry float those guys actually, it was great. The cyber demon was the hardest, I thought. When he err...'restricts your movement', well tricky.

So... the Doom season pass is on sale at £7.49 in the PS Store. This seems like a pretty decent deal as, although each of the three expansion packs are focused on multiplayer mode, I think I'm right in saying that all of the maps and outfits are now usable in Bot Mode? Tempting :shifty: ...

Edit: Hold it! Does the bot option only work on the original maps?

Edit 2: It seems that the bots can only be used on the original maps and not the DLC ones. Seems rather odd. Purchase cancelled.

I'm not a PC player, Brer, but yeah the purchase is off. I quite like the bot mode and it's weird that it only works with the original levels. But, hey, as you say I will save the money and play the original games on my 360 instead 8-) .

Just started this, played through the first two levels.

Jesus, this game does not strawberry float around. Just drops you straight into shooting monsters in the face, and then ripping their arm off and beating them to death with it. I'm loving how immediately gratifying it is.
