If they can make it half as enjoyable as The New Order I'll be happy. They managed to create what felt like a fast, old school shooter with enough concessions to modernity that it felt relevant without erasing what came before. I need to go back to The Old Blood.

I still stand by my previous assertion that they'd make a decent buck just by getting Romero and the other old id designers to release a new Doom/Doom II Episode. Still need to play the level Romero released recently actually.

What does GRcade want from the new Doom game?

No idea why, but I'm really, really excited for this. Feels like it's been so long since the last decent FPS (New Order, obvs).

Was just about post the same thing. Been a long time since I enjoyed a SP FPS campaign, this is ticking all the right boxes.

Yeah I remember reach :wub: 4& 5 are to me whats happened to the RE seres after 4.

Yeah every series seems to go downhill after the third installment.

I'd buy an Xbone if they sorted out MCC, nothing's come close to matching those old Halos online for me. I've played nothing but PES online for the past 4 months.

MCC is sorted out has been for a year, but back to Doom, not fussed about mp, Doom is about exploring and horror/gore, can't wait.May release date is annoying though, sun beating in the window while tackling demons! :lol:

OT:
Halo 5 has biggest retention of online players since 3. It's glorious.

Single player is gooseberry fool photek. Thats what I played Halo for.

Doom was briefly up for pre-order on The Australian Xbox Store. You get Doom 1 & 2 along with Demon Multiplayer packs on XB1 if you pre-order -

Doom will run at 1080p 60fps on PC, PS4 AND XBO! This will be because of their advance idTech 6 game engine.

Goes completely against what people about this console gen's capabilities being maxed out.

This game is one of the best looking I've seen this gen.

It is id, though. They got 1080p 60FPS out of the last generation of consoles with Rage. They are probably the top developer for optimizing their games.

I've only just realised that the game incorporates a level-building mode called SnapMap. It looks terrific; there are lots of editing features and the possibilities are exciting.

I will be terrible at the game but the creative mode has ensured that this is on the radar now :toot: .
