Hell moduels for Snap Fap. Bunch of MP stuff, too. Also a playable demon class for MP, though that's paid for content.

I've just reached the end of Necropolis, it's great that they've brought back the Spectre as well as the Pinky, the completionist in me wishes they would also have brought back the Arachnotrons, Pain Elementals and Commandos.

The latest update, 1.05, is over 14Gb on PS4. FOURTEEN GIG :o .

Reasons:
New Multiplayer Modes

Exodus is a one-flag capture-the-flag mode with an added twist of constantly moving bases and flags.
Sector is an objective-based capture-and-hold mode where players compete to take control of zones and then hold them to score points.
Both modes can be played on any existing or future maps.

SnapMap

Customizable weapon wheel functionality – so players can carry and select multiple weapons, just like the campaign
Jump pads with logic to set distance, speed and direction
30 brand-new Hell-themed modules
An expanded weapon list
A new playable demon – the Mancubus
Improvements to the Community HUB, editor and logic capabilities

General

Tons of optimizations and improvements

The Double XP weekend will begin today as soon as the maintenance ends at 12pm PT/3pm ET.

Bloody hell I'm going to have to uninstall this, can't have games I've completed increasing in size without me even playing them!

The Snap Map stuff should really be an optional install, before the 12GB update it's already taking up 53gb...

Realised you were asking about Ultra-Violence at Phobo Labs and I misread it! I thought you couldn't find the secret room. :fp:

Man this game is good. This is the old school shooter with a modern twist that I've been waiting for (I didn't play Wolfenstein).

I have to be honest, it didn't grab me straight away but I've slowly gotten used to getting back to an aggressive shooter and it's just getting better and better. I love that I'm constantly getting drip fed new challenges, hidden items and collectables that all feed back into the main game.

Can't wait to play more tomorrow night.

It's not as good as Doom, but it's still very, *very* good. Ditto Old Blood. They're often on sale on digital stores, do yourself a favour and buy 'em.

Just picked this up (PS4) and it has a 19gb update!! Is that essential for single player or can I go ahead and play the game now?

First update added photomode and classic weapon pose. (Along with some new Snapmap features.) But it also added fixes to trophies/achievements. There's another large update and that's mostly Snapmap (map creation) stuff and MP.

Update v1.06 is out for PC, XBO and PS4. The PS4 version takes *ages* to "prepare" but then the download is only 115Mb.

Finally completed Phobos Lab...wow that was tricky much harder than the main game! I've got one secret left to find on Foundry then the last level to play through.

Picked this up on the cheap. Whilst I'm enjoying it, I am getting mildly frustrated by the map (how am I supposed to know where I need to head? Which bits are connected?) and the back-and-forth nature. I'm only at that bit where you need to destroy 4 gore nests and it took me ages to find two of them - much more by luck than judgement.

Minor niggles aside though it is pretty satisfying and crunchy. Any tips for a nub?

Keep moving in firefights. Circle strafe around enemies.
Upgrade suit ammo capacity first.
Get used to shotgunning an enemy then going in for the melee finish - later upgrades mean that finish will drop more armour/ammo/health.
I didnt upgrade the pistol.
I didnt upgrade the plasma rifle it seemed very weak to me.
Upgrade the gauss cannon with the siege mode, that mode is really powerful.
