This is absolutely brilliant and it's really surprised me. But I also would've liked some brighter colours.

All the different enemy types are very clearly distinguishable.

There's about 12 different types, but within those types there is no variation.

I'm sure that's true when you actually play it. But the colours man, where are the colours?

I haven't seen it for myself but, according to various sources, it is legit, aye.

I opened it in Audacity's spectrogram but couldn't get it show. Plenty of people here seem to think it's legit, though: https://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comment ... rack_in_a/ (Getting images to show in that manner isn't new either.)

My wife told me off earlier as I was actively encouraging our 7 3/4 yr old to watch me play. The fact he's shouting "Use the chainsaw again!" apparently isn't becoming to such a young audience

Just finished this morning, total play time 11 hours. I'd say I probably managed to get around 50% of the secrets first time around, though only ended up finding two of the classic Doom levels.
Final boss was tough as nails, but Siphon grenades were my saving grace that got me through it.

I was rather surprised that there wasn't a Secret/Post-credit movie to set up a sequel though, with the way the Doom guy took a backup of Vega before being banished to some depth of Hell by Hayden. Even just some voiceover by Vega about how they could possibly get back

Definitely has a good length to it. Took me 11 hours, but I'm not very good at the game, but that wasn't finding all the secrets either.

Currently just sat on the title menu listening to the music through a pair of headphones. I have just been playing the game but somehow cannot bring myself to turn it off.

So I'm 25 hours in and I'm only on level 9 on Hurt Me Plenty. Yes I'm a slow gamer but most of my time has been scouring for secrets. So far I have them all! :datass: I'm loving getting all the secrets almost as much as the shooting.

Booted this up over Corazon's earlier. Holy wow that is a strong opening, adn I loved those opening two levels. Very much looking forward to starting it up on my PS4 and getting stuck in. I am also in love with that reversible cover, more than makes up for the ultimate blandness of the official cover.
