Are you concerned about technical issues or if you'll enjoy the game?

More that it’s really my kind of thing. But my Switch has been sitting there doing pretty much nothing for weeks now....

I'll be honest with you, I love it now but it took me a bit of time to learn how to play it. This might just be my play style but I think it's very much a game of two parts, you have the wild shoots bang bang stuff and the exploration to find upgrades and hidden things in the level.

I don't usually play FPS games and I absolutely loved this from start to finish. It's a very pure video game, there's very little to dilute the action, the story, I never paid much attention to it.

Thank you Hime and Squinty. Bought it last night but not had chance to play yet. Given the weather today, may get to play later....

It's a great game. Non stop action really. Finished it on PS4 at launch and now have it on the Switch for portable visceral demon bashing and blasting

I just got to Hell, and it seems to have got A BIT MORE DIFFICULT SOMEHOW.

Persistence is its own reward. If you're really struggling, go back and try some of the earlier Rune trials. They'll grant you abilities which last the whole game and make everything a lot smoother.

I really should give this another play at some point, too busy with Zelda currently (even though I'm only a handful of hours into Xenoblade Chronicles 2 as well) to focus on any other games.

I do recall it having the odd difficulty spike although nothing that couldn't be overcome by playing the section a few times before I could get through it. Think the only part to actually give me problems was one of the later bosses but again after a few times it went down. I would also recommend doing the rune challenges, some of them are a bit of a pain but the results are pretty decent, as is exploring to find more upgrade points for your guns and suit.

“I couldn’t give you any guesses as to what we’re going to announce and when those games will be out. But I will say, we have a lot of new stuff to talk about at E3. Whether or not folks realize it, this is the hell on Earth time for us with E3. We are in the midst of so much planning and work for all of that content but I’m really excited.

Possible Doom announcements at E3 then. Which would make sense with the 25th Anniversary being in December.

Damn I feel old.

I'm eager to see what a sequel to this like. I assume it will be more of the same.

I'd be happy enough with just a basic sequel to be honest.

More weapons, more (Maybe larger and non-linear) levels and environments and more enemies. That's all I really want as they absolutely nailed it with the first game. No need to re-invent the wheel for this one. An expanded Snapmap would be great as well.

The only area I think needs overhauled was the MP which was shite.

I think I would be happy with what you want out of it. They really don't need to do much to improve the core gameplay.

I've said it before, but get Romero and the other Doom I and II level designers to make another episode or two and watch the cash roll in.

I'd be all over that gooseberry fool.

I’d say that’s Doom 2 definitely at E3, possibly just about as unsubtle a hint as he could give.

Wonder if it’ll be set on Earth this time?

Fuuuuuuuuuu...I can't even imagine what they could add to improve on the reboot. Obviously the impulse for these things is to go bigger but I loved the specificity of DOOM. Kill demons. That's it. A different setting would be nice but not essential, but I'm hoping they've used what they learnt from the first to just make it even better.
