Uh... just did a quick search and there are people with characters between level 100 and 200 having trouble with it. They're either *seriously* gooseberry fool or Bitter Black Island is tough as nails.

bloody hell.

I wasn't even too bothered about the everfall really. Just going to do some bits on the surface now when I feel like a blast. All a bit dark and dank. My little character wouldn't last two minutes there.

My character is 54 and I think I've made it to the third floor so far. It's not impossible, just challenging.

Doing the Fathom Deep mission. Needed one more Wakestone. Landed at Chamber of Fate.

Two Chimeras would be bad enough (with one of the two being the Gorechimera type) but that and the Lich summoned Hellhounds?! strawberry float the strawberry float off. I managed to beat it eventually and soon started on the Dark Arisen content. Got to the first boss and copped it almost straight away. :slol: So much for my idea of levelling up the regular caster class.

Second attempt at Death: I opt for my go to chicken-shit tactic of hanging back in a corridor while commanding the pawns to go in and attracting the monster's attention, then edging out a bit and casting a big spell. It was going well until I noticed Death had warped in behind me, in the corridor, and had cast a spell which killed me.

I am enjoying it though. Honest. But It's time to play something else. What I plan to do is send Dark Arisen back to LF, buy the game proper so I can do the new content at my leisure.
I think I'll be doing the old content over again a couple of times to get my level up beyond 100 and get better gear while I'm at it.

I've actually been using your pawn and he's great (so much so that I'll be on my third playthrough with him later today). My one gripe, other than his Xerxes-esque (out of 300) voice, is how it's a bang on certainty he'll cast High Maelstrom in an enclosed area. :fp: :can't see gooseberry fool:

So for my third playthrough I've opted for the hybrid ranger. I forgot how much fun it was clambering all over monsters and jabbing 'em with the point end of my bitchin' daggers. Magic bow n' arrow is a lark too.

I don't suppose there is anyone out there who still plays this/ Dark Arisen specifically?

I'm looking to get as many bits of level 3 armour and weapons as I can but it is a slow process. Anyone have any they don't need? If you still play I'm willing to do trades, I have 8 level 3 Novelties and 2 level 3 gear.

Totally up for this - I tried it on consoles and it ran like utter garbage. Hopefully no 30fps lock or any of that gooseberry fool.

Surely a remaster is needed - the PS3 version, with its borders was awful.

Day one, maybe even if it's locked to 30FPS.

Shush.

edit: seriously, if that's what kept you from playing it then you missed out. I can understand someone who primarily plays games on a PC not wanting to play the console version because of its shitty FPS, but not playing because borders? That's just silly.

The general version stank. I have it free via PS Plus too.
