It's 18:00, same time the steam store updates every day

Well the pre-load button has become a Play button....but it wont launch. Just seems to be trying (and failing) to download an update.

EDIT - Nah, just Steam taking forever to decrypt. Why is Steam so shite when it comes to disk speeds? It'd be faster for me to just wipe the game and re-download the already unencrypted version :fp:

I love how you choose between easy and normal in the initial options and then the main menu lets you pick hard mode

I've enjoyed what i've done so far - it definitely has some interesting ideas in terms of party mechanics and the like. It obviously looks like a ps3/360 game but runs at a pretty solid 60fps with no borders, so is infinitely more playable.

I'm impressed with how meaningful day/night is. They introduce the concept very early on and it makes you hurry back to the nearest town as soon as it starts to get dark as all the monsters come out to party on the beach etc.

However, I highly doubt i'll see this one through to the end. I can see how big it's going to get, and I will probably not be able to give it the time it deserves.

I'm getting my ass handed to me on hard mode but the game runs very smoothly on my Steam Link and controls well with the Steam Controller. It just works  :toot:

So... Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen arrives on PS4 and XBO on Tuesday :toot: .

I've never played it before and the original launch of Dark Arisen was perhaps overshadowed by the impending arrivals of the new gen machines at the end of 2013. Watching a couple of vids, it looks pretty impressive. Are any GRcadians gonna be keeping an eye out for this?

I've got the PC version but have never put any real time into it, other things keep popping up on my radar. I think the rather hands off approach to things and lack of characterisation to most of the characters (Your entire party are literally blank slates) isn't much my thing so it kind of sucks my enthusiasm for playing.

This guy must have got the game early... here’s two hours of the PS4 version!

Anyone tried the PS4 remake? Any good? Never played DD but tempted to give it a go... I just want an interesting game world to explore and decent combat. Unsure whether to get it or wait for the Okami remaster.

I heard it was similar in quality to the PC release and that was considered very good. The combat in DD:DA is much better than what you'll find in Okami. (It's the highlight of the game.) Its world is generic medieval fantasy but it's still fun to explore and run about in.

Ok cool, cheers... Just ordered from base - only £15 so surely worth a shot.

Picked this up in the sales the other week  Already in the post-game section of my second playthrough :shifty: Thanks to it having all the DLC I’m exploring Bitterblack Isle now! :dread: Just defeated the Gazer, but it didn’t drop the goodies I needed for the noticeboard quest :fp: Maybe next time.

Anyone else got it on the Xbox One? Could do with some friendly OP pawns for company...

Great game and the combat is solid. Some of the best of its kind in the genre.
