Anyway if you love the Dreamcast that Official VGA Cable is worth it mainly because it is so rare. Playing the games through VGA now compared to the RF input that I used when I first bought the machine is liking comparing night to day, its just so amazing how sharp and clear the image is through VGA and makes those special games even more magical.
I really, really need to get one. But, £60 is just ridiculous, I can't justify that, not in a bloody recession!!!
I agree, keep checking on ebay daily for the black square GAME or unbranded VGA Box that comes with av inputs on one side and a vga input on the other (to switch between the two). Do not pay more than £25, I think I paid around £20 when I bought it, but it was second hand. One problem I have is that if I connect it to a DELL PC monitor thick feint lines run down the screen, but on my samsung 26 inch it is perfect!
If my 360 was not connected via VGA I would have my Dreamcast out now, I may take it out for the weekend, I think a few hours on crazy taxi and sonic adventure would do me well. Come to think of it theres one game I still have no rebought, thats sonic adventure 2. I sold quite a few of my dreamcast games at one time, probably to fund purchasing some ps2 games, but I cannot remember and sonic adventure 2 was one I sold and never completed, mind you I never completed the first one either, so I must definately do that. I may even get the gamecube versions for easy accessibility on the Wii!
Anyway good luck with your search, its definately worth getting a VGA cable, your Dreamcast deserves it!
