To be honest here, I think his vigorous training regime and intake of protein and carbohydrates does a lot more for him than drinking his own piss.

I've pissed in a pint glass at night and in the morning it seems to have developed a thin skin on top. Not of the order of rice pudding, but more than could be explained by the natural surface tension of the fluid.

There are some very well known cases of urine therapy (i.e. fasting on one's own urine and water for several days, rubbing urine into the skin and applying urine soaked cloths to the body) curing terminal cancers and other nasty diseases (although don't mention it to the medical faternity). It's a nasty business and in the writings of JW Armstrong he calls it 'penance'. Not that i'm religious but there are many references to it in the bible, too. Whether any of this is true or not well, unless you have had a go yourself and cured a serious disease this way then who knows?

Not much good can come of drinking your own urine. Although you can gain *some* water from it if you leave it in the sun I've heard.

pretty sure he's a meat eater. I dunno, it seems pointess to drink urine, but if he think it works for him, i guess it cant be a bad thing..

I was talking about ammonia from proteins, hormones are broken down and excreted from the kidneys, ion imbalances are corrected and the excess excreted into the urine, urobillin, etc.

Accumulation of any of those things is dangerous and drinking them is bloody stupid.

studies prove that drinking your own piss is quite healthy as you reclaim things thats your body needs but hasn't had the chance to break them down or get the full benifit from. however you have to do it right a way you don't want to leave it as it is a breding ground for bacteria after a couple of hours. personaly i wouldn't do it.

Do you have any sccietiffic pappiers to back this up? As pretty much every scientific study I've ever seen has said that benefits are limited if not non-existent. Especially given that the whole 'not a chance to break down yet' argument doesn't really make sense, as all consituents of urine have already been broken down and flitered numerous times.

Yeah, by convuluted tubules and gooseberry fool, innit.

I'm a pretty certain believer in the fact that if my body wants to get the strawberry float rid of something, I don't want to disrespect it by drinking it again.

I never drink it, just use it as mouthwash.
