I'm going to go ahead and say that is piss strawberry floating poor compensation for the state they released this game in.

The fact that there's no mention of Challenges is a joke.

I'd love to buy the Season Pass but like strawberry float am I paying the full £20 whack for something that's going to see a fraction of the use it should have because they strawberry floated up the games release.

Embarrassing.

Edit: Is that a Game of Thrones joke :fp:

Does anyone know how the drifts are scored?

I seem to get better scores if I throw a car in to a corner with no intention of driving out of it cleanly than I do if I take a nice smooth drift.

I think it's a multiplication of speed and the angle between direction of movement and direction of car.

I spoke too soon

I think these updates on Facebook are a bit shady, as far as I can see they are English language only. They should be on the PlayStation Blog or website with localised versions.

Well done. After putting it down for a while the damn time trialling keeps me coming back. I think I'll commit to levelling up once a day from now on.

I think DriveClub is probably the most infuriating game I've ever owned, because everything about the gameplay is strawberry floating sublime, but the server issues are a kick in the balls. There's still a load of enjoyment to be had in its current state, but it could be so much more if it just worked.

Yeah I really enjoy the game, but damn it if isnt frustrating. Myself and Crimson spent ages trying to get a game the other night and literally one race is all we could get, and even getting that was a nightmare. The Plus version should have been the testing ground, the greedy strawberry floats.

Frankly, I'm amazed this carcrash of a game still somehow staggers on. I'm not even tempted to reinstall my paid-for copy with the news of this DLC.

FIX THE DAMN GAME. :|

The DLC can all come later, but not before they get the basic functionality sorted out. Just make it work. That's all they have to do at this stage.

I'll check back here in a month's time to see if the game's still on life-support/snuffed it/miraculously recovered.

Agreed. This is still somehow the best racer I've ever played :datass: Time Trial/Hot Lap events are so damn addictive.

I don't think I'm going to bother grinding to level 50 though, I still have a few more events left to 3 star, by which time the new ones will be available.

Went on last night and there's still huge chunks not working.

Aside from time trials there is nothing left to do in this game :fp:

I played this a bit over the weekend. I swear that on Saturday I got the team up to level 29 but when I played on Sunday, back to 28. :x
Leaderboards now update more often, but there are still times when they refuse to take your latest time.

It wasn't a grind, just having fun doing races and going after accolades. I'm not going to stop playing now I'm at level 50, I wish they'd increase the upper limit actually.

It doesn't go past 50? That's a bit gooseberry fool :( I'm glad it doesn't become a grind though after the main events!

That almost explains why I lost my connection to the servers. If it wasn't for the fact that Destiny was working fine.

Evolution Studios has released the DriveClub 1.07 update.

It adds Photo Mode, three new tracks and changes corner cutting.

The developer's online teams are still working to improve online play and server capacity, Evo said in a Facebook post. The PlayStation 4 exclusive racer has suffered high-profile issues since its launch in September, and the planned PS Plus Edition has been postponed indefinitely.

Free premium downloadable content was offered to those who bought the game by way of compensation. Today's update adds support for this DLC, due out 26th November.

Weather effects are expected later this year.

Here are the patch notes:
◾Adds Photo Mode to the game. You can enable Photo Mode during gameplay by pressing the right side of the Touch Pad and share your favourite pictures with the Share button.
◾Adds three new tracks - all including reverse variants: Yedapalli in India, Los Pelambres in Chile and Wester Ross in Scotland.
◾Adds support for the Renault DeZir DriveClub Edition and BMW M5, 2013 to PlayStation Store (available as free download to full game owners from Nov 25-SCEA, 26-SCEE, 27-SCEJ).
◾Adds support for the Ignition Expansion Pack - which includes the Ignition Car Pack and Ignition Tour Pack - to PlayStation Store (free download available from Nov 25-SCEA, 26-SCEE, 27-SCEJ).
◾The Ignition Car Pack includes five new cars:
◾W Motors Lykan Hypersport
◾Caterham SP/ 300.R
◾KTM X-Bow R
◾BMW M4
◾Renault Twin'Run Concept
◾The Ignition Tour Pack includes 11 new Events and five new Trophies.
◾Adds support for the Photo-Finish Tour Pack to PlayStation Store (free download available from Nov 25-SCEA, 26-SCEE, 27-SCEJ).
◾The Photo-Finish Tour Pack includes 11 new Events and five new Trophies.
◾Adds support for two new livery packs to PlayStation Store (free download available from Nov 25-SCEA, 26-SCEE, 27-SCEJ).
◾Each Livery Pack contains five new livery patterns to customise your cars with.
◾Changes have be made to corner cutting, corner penalties & collision penalties for balancing purposes.
◾Improves the Server Announcements functionality and implements a restyled screen.
