EDIT - Problem 1 sorted - cheers!

Also, have there been any recent games released like Picross or Slitherlink? Cheers! :D

It's bullshit. My US DS games work just fine on my European DSi.

I think the confusion is because you can only download games from one region using the DSi service.

Plus I believe in the future there will be DSi only games on cartridges (so no backward compatibility with earlier models). I have no idea whether they will be region-specific but all existing DS games (on cartridges) at least should work fine.

It's possible those ebay/amazon marketplace ones won't play as they're fake. I think the DSi has better piracy detection.

Be careful.

I did a quick google, and found that some games advertised as not for DSi turned out to be pirated.

As for your other point. PicPic is an awesome puzzle game. Should be cheap now, too.

DSi ware titles are region specific, so that might concern you.

Regarding retail titles, if it works on a DS/lite, but not a DSi, then it's a pirated version. Proper retail games are region free.

Yeah, I probably should have pointed out that she has that too. Bloody puzzle games. Is Picross 3D out yet? I thought that was due out this year? Also, I've found this game called Colour Cross, which has had some reasonable reviews. Anyone played that?
