Is there any good comparisons of the screen quality between the DSlite and the DSi.

Why would you be paying more to download exclusive games?

£149 is too expensive, Nintendo should have priced it at £119-129.

Though when the DS Lite is discontinued, then the DSi may drop in price.

Your sig's hysterical, by the way. Remind me: how many 'starts of plays' did you write?

How cute, when you find nothing to combat with, you mention something personal that has nothing to with anything.

I deleted the latter comment, actually, thinking it a bit unnecessary. So apologies for that, it was needlessly pointed of me. But...

So you want me to admit that I am a failed writer. Is that what you are hinting? I am 27 and I am a failed writer. There. Happy? Said it. Sig it. Cherish it. You made me doubt my dreams.

Not at all. It's good that you tried, but then you shouldn't really have used it in arguments as if it showed how brilliant you are.

I know, I KNOW, there is a thirty something man in Manchester with a Wiimote inserted deep into his rectum, telling me, a twenty something, that I am a failure in life because I didn’t finish a play I mentioned 3 years ago in one post on a forum.

1. I'm not saying you're a failure.
2. I don't have a Wiimote inserted deep into my rectum.
3. You didn't just mention it once, fella.

I know my life is over at 27. Sure I have a house, a beautiful wife, wonderful daughter, a pretty cool job, a happy existence but for what? Nothing.

 I'm sure you'll be fine.

Your rude, mean, selfish personal dig

Your sig says hi. As does your rectal remote insertion comment.

The price is a shame really. I was hoping Nintendo would take the current economic climate into account, but it seems they haven't bothered. At least it means the thing will get a nice price drop when the pound isn't so rubbish. €170 looks more or less confirmed then.

I'm not a massive handheld gamer (my PSP rarely gets used at all) so at that current price point, it's unwarranted. To retail it at the same price as a Wii is barking.

Hey, KKlein - I agree with you !!! :D

I mean, you pay a premium for the machine, and then you have to pay more for the download games!

I've lost my DS lite. Disappointed with that.

But I thought of this new DSi, so no biggie.

But... £150? No-bloody-way.

£150 for a DS or any handheld is a bit ridiculous really.

I was stood in Gamestation on Sunday with a DS Lite in one hand, a copy of Trials and Tribulations in the other.

And I walked away.

Mainly because I didn't think a DS was worth it for just one game (which is what I mostly wanted. Now I've joined a Library I read on the loo, not play DS).

This announcement doesn't have me running back to DS/DSi.

Far too pricey,

Well, you have to pay for games anyway, and the downloadable ones are cheaper.

Phasing out white and black DS's for this super expensive DS to succeed? Colloso dick move that will work...which I hope doesn't and causes a consumer backlash and people stop buying DS's because they don't want to pay £50 extra for white and black ones.

Out of the new features only the download stuff interests me. It would be nice to have a thinner, lighter, bigger screened, better sounding DS. But usually these new iterations replace the old ones and sell for the same price. PS2 then came slimline, GBA then came GBA SP, DS then came DS lite. All replaced the previous version.

This reminds me of the PSX concept. Its an odd strategy and its never worked, but I reckon Nintendo will make it work.

Bottom line its a souped up version of the 2 and a half year old DS Lite...2 and a half years dam it! and there charging £50 more for it!!!!
