No. (I didn't really check though, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't)

Doesn't Doom on the PS1 have that really unsettling soundtrack with stuff like babies crying and that?

In terms of the scariest game I have played, it would probably have to be Resident Evil 2. There was always something about hearing the moan of a Zombie around a corner and the hearing his legs shuffling that creeped me right out. Plus with arms coming through windows and that, you never really felt safe. Somehow the other Resi games never clicked with me in the same way.

As for Nukem, I downloaded the trial this morning as I never played the original. Can't say I'd buy the full thing, but then I guess this is more for fans of the original. Without the nostalgia I find it very hard to connect with old games that I have never played before.

Yeah, but Doom came first. :P

It was a really atmospheric soundtrack actually. I think you could put the game in a CD player and simply play all the music off it (I miss being able to do that nowadays. :()

Effing love it. It's just as great as I remember.

Just finished the first episode, which is the weakest in my opinion, so looking forward to doing 2, 3 and 4 (which wasn't in the PC version :o )

And Doom never ever scared me. But the for some reason the first 2 levels of Duke Nukem 3D always seem to freak me out. I have this horrid feeling that a pig cop is behind me. :? They must've scared me when I was little or something. I played Doom when I was little too but don't remember being scared in that.

Cant wait to try out duke when i get home :D

Actually, I love the Doom Music. But it's interesting to see how the PS1 incarnation of Doom presumably ended up influencing Quake, since it too had a creepy, ambient CD soundtrack.

Wow, after playing Duke 64 for all these years and thinking with all the extras areas to all levels I thought that was a far better version then the originals.

However, playing this tonight, It is just actually so much better - I prefer the simpilar approach to the levels. It's an excellent game that just brings back so many awesomesauce memories. Hail Duke

Tucked away within this week's Xbox 360 release of Duke Nukem 3D were two new screenshots of 3D Realms' long-in-development sequel Duke Nukem Forever.

Available only upon earning all of the game's achievements, the screenshots can be found within the Duke Nukem 3D art gallery.

Downloaded the demo... enjoyed it when it was first released (how long ago?), this time round it didn't hold my attention for more than a couple of plays.

To be honest, I'd rather spend my MS points on new games than replay old ones. Even my beloved Gauntlet doesn't hold my attention these days.

Duke Nukem 3D gets annoying sometimes. Only played the demo, by the way.

It annoys me how when you look up and down, the scenery around you shifts in perspective, but not the background behind it all. :? Only a small complaint but it does get irritating.

I never really rated Duke Nukem. I played the trial, for nostalgia purposes, but couldn't even be bothered to finish the first level.

Chirst I'm stuck. The level's DukeBurger and I don't know how to get into the main building. Nice use of the Butthead voice though

It's worth the tradeoff since digital music that's played back via the CPU can have cool effects mixed in real time that aren't possible with a CD-Audio soundtrack (see: Braid, off the top of my head.)

But yeah, it was nice to get the game and OST in one neat package :)
