I like those puzzles, actually. Three or four switches is relatively easy to "brute-force" a solution to. They're not too challenging, and they mix up the pace a little.

It sounds like they did a great job with the port. Will buy.

Now, note to id, please release: Doom II and all Quakes on XBLA.

Wolfenstein too please.

I don't know how well the Quake's would work on a joypad.

Wolvenstein would be OK technically, but it's rendered utterly obsolete by Doom already being on the machine. And also it being on Steam for a pittance.

Late I know, but: Quake was on consoles before, Saturn, PSone(I think) and Nintendo 64 as well Quake II. They worked very well I'd say.

Anyway, I can't wait for this. I remember some of cut-scenes on it when I was watching my cousin playing it

I really enjoyed QII on the N64, booted up and completed my copy earlier this year. Ugly as sin but holds up gameplay wise and the pad works for it.

But yeah, with the id sale last week, I cna't see myself buying nay id games that aree realesd on arcade sadly

Did you know the original Snake was based on Mel Gibson?

Maybe a few one liners, but for me he was basically a video game character of Nada from 'They Live' (played by Roddy Piper nonetheless). Cool alien killing dudes with sunglasses that have the exact same main line (all though in the film it's reversed)

'I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass... and I'm all out of bubblegum.'

That line in the bank is hilarious! Can't wait to play Duke again as loved it on the PC.

Have they revealed whether it has offline co-op or not? This is the deal-breaker for me. I couldn't give a strawberry float about the online.

Might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it only has online/system link co-op.

Fixed.

Although seeing as its going to be free to play on PC soon, even that is questionable...although I suppose to have it playable on 360 and over Live would be worth £5 or so.

I never had Duke, but did play it on a friend's PC and was suitably impressed. Looks to have aged somewhat (obvously!) but hopefully it'll be as playable as I remember.

They could have touched up the graphics a bit! Lazy feckers.
