If you keep your game open I might jump in and help if you like.

I used one of the petrol station ones and I could see the Bolter from the safe house. Just jumped out, smashed him one and jumped back in.

That rings a bell (being able to see the Bolter from the safe house). Did it have a motor/electricity trap nearby possibly on the roof? But yeah, I sneaked up on and hit it with a heavy blow and then ran like hell back to the safe house.

I think it's just that it's so dark. :dread:

I've just done a main mission that had loads of the mutated strawberry floaters chasing you? Jesus Christ it's tense. I tried fighting them..but more than one and you've had it. :x

Trying to do as many of the side missions as I can as I'm on the last but one mission now. Really really enjoyed it.

Is that the one where you burn all that medicine? (which btw is the single dumbest thing "you" do). Yeah, that was brown pants time for me :slol: but on my second attempt I just ran and ran.

I've just there unlocked co-op but will be resuming in the next day or so. I'll leave the co-op set as Friends Only, can you still join without a full invite?

I don't think so. It was just after jade dies...or just before... It's insie a building in broad daylight, and you look through a door and there are loads of the strawberry floaters.

One chases you and the gooseberry fool kicks off. I didn't expect it cus it was daytime.

So I've been playing for 15hrs and haven't once braved the night. I have missions stacking up that need to be done at night I just keep putting them off like a true coward.

Finally feel capable of daytime combat against small to mid size groups and individual specials, and found a few guns now.

I've haven't done any either. And I won't. :shifty:

I've acquired a shotgun which is uber powerful. But still won't be strong enough if I get spotted by those freaks.

They're not as hard as you'd think to kill. The main problem is that they deal loads of damage and when you get one on your back, you'll soon have more.

I just did the mission where Jade dies.

Just an awful bit of game design all around. Being too exhausted to use the grapple and the terrible writing (Rais's first year Philosophy student bilge is painful to listen to) is one level of bad, but the whole "PLEASE GOD, NOT NOW" seizure thing is the worst. Absolutely terrible design decision and I find myself just rolling my eyes every time it happens.

Oh and taking all my equipment away is miscalculated. It doesn't make fighting the things you want me to fight any more fun (my guess is they want to make it more of a challenge) - I would have enjoyed kicking the crap out of Rais' second in command far, far more if I had all my gear.

Dunno if anyone listened to the Gamers With Jobs episode in which they had Shaun Elliott on to talk about this game, but a lot of what he said about it was bang on.

So I finally braved night time. Only just realised you can sneak around volatiles without being chased :fp:

I'm now a cleaver weilding, Kung fu bad ass! At least I thought I was, one wrong move at night and i was torn apart by a pack of volatiles.

Back to the comfort of daytime

Finished it. The ending is shockingly bad.

Just finished it.

Can't remember the last time there was a decent ending to a game :|

Overall though, I loved every minute of it. It's was basically a next generation dead island with parkour. The story was cliched to strawberry float but it was okay and the side missions were great.

Glad it's sold enough to hopefully warrant a sequel.

Solid 8/10 for me. Went out in the dark once. :slol:

Don't go out in the dark to start with. :dread:

Don't fight groups of zombies. Keep to the roof tops.

pick up everything. Metal parts repair your weapons, and everything builds something. Don't be afraid to leg it either.

I started this last night and even though i played just over an hour it seems very interesting and also a bit freaky in places. The parkour is also decent and working well so far , i did hear many saying it was clunky and improves later but so far it seems fine to me.

Sometimes it's difficult to gauge height and distance but on the whole I think they've done a good job with the climbing.
I've just unlocked the night so I'm not particularly far. I don't think the fighting mechanics suit the night enemies, it's too slow. For now, anyway.
