I want a new Metroid Prime too, those were my favorite GCN games.

Bear in mind they're not going to be wasting time on TV, Movies and Music bollocks.

Plus we get to avoid all the talking heads and pie charts.

They could waste time with apps for multimedia and weird stuff like Wii Street U though. I'm not expecting anything amazing to come from this Direct to be honest.

Is e3.nintendo.com the main video link?

Anyone got anything better?

Neither did MS, and it was only five minutes or so from Sony. It's still not a lot of time, despite the advantages of the direct format.

Signs the Wii U is screwed:

if Nintendo show an old port (e.g. Deus Ex) for more than 30 seconds. Last year's example: Batman Arkham City
if they show a party game for more than 2 minutes. See: Nintendo Land.
if they show a kiddie centric game at the end of their conference. Again, Nintendo Land.
if they spend more than 3 minutes on a remake/rehash - yep, I'm talking about Wind Waker.
if they don't give release dates (at least the month of release) for this year's titles.
if they don't give us a taste of their mid-to-late 2014 line-up.
if 3D Mario isn't coming this year.
if there is no COD Ghosts.
if there is no Retro title.
if there isn't a single soccer game!
if Nintendo don't drop the restrictive 8GB model.
if the big titles are coming to 3DS as well.

This conference is exclusively about the Wii U, and we've already gotten the Direct that focuses on games out this summer.

This is for autumn and beyond, so perhaps we shouldn't expect the games I've listed (except Wind Waker HD), and all of that is being fitted in an hour, with all the media coverage and developer interviews being handled afterwards.

Maybe... a few surprises? Maybe? :shifty:

We know we're getting Mario Kart, new Mario, Smash Bros and Retro's game. That's pretty good as it is tbh

I bet they'll spend tons of time on the Human Revolution port like they did with Arkham City last year.

The Direct will be 37 minutes long in Japan, and approximately 40 minutes long in the US. The EU one is probably going to be similar.

As for what Alvin said, they've said nothing official (to my knowledge, anyway!) about this Direct other than it will be the reveal of 3D Mario, Mario Kart, Smash Bros. (and contain info on X). The website indicates we should see a few other games, Wonderful 101 etc., but they've never said anything about focusing on them. If anything they've heavily implied the opposite as the Summer Direct which focused on those games was supposed to "free up" E3 for "future titles".

If they are planning many new announcements, they don't have much time to waste on games they've already covered with only 40 minutes to spare. Retro's game could potentially be the "surprise" of the show, as they haven't mentioned that since E3 last year. It could be that the surprises are simply the new games they've told us are coming, as opposed to any left-field announcements. Those four games would be killer announcements if they had kept them secret, so disappointments could be on the way.

But still, first footage of a new Smash Bros! It's impossible to not get hyped.

Indeed.

Is there any chance stuff could get unveiled/shown off elsewhere?

They did do a second online conference last year, so it is possible they could do something similar this time, or showcase something at a later time or something. We will have to see.
