The Direct skipped and crashed so much for me that I missed the Super Mario 3D World title announcement, and I thought it was a new Mario Party.

The mii party u (or whatever the strawberry float it's called) is basically Mario party without, you know, Mario wasn't it.

Imagine if they'd announced a new mario party game as well. The entire internets could not cope with that much party game all at once. After heaving breathing from the increased excitement at seeing the annocement of wii u super mii moo party, Nintendo megatons the strawberry float out of us all with mario party 10 as well.

BLAM! Small children are dead. Hospitals overrun. Pregnant women falling extra pregnant again. Sony and Microsoft crying their faces off.

So much party. So gam.

I really enjoyed the Nintendo Direct, it was arguably my favourite of the major 3 in terms of game announcements. It's worth keeping in mind though that the only Nintendo home consoles I've ever owned are a Gamecube and N64 (the latter being during the mid 2000's, and purely for Majora's Mask), and while I have owned just about every handheld I've never had the most extensive catalogue of games for them, so franchises like Mario Kart are hardly saturated in my eyes. So just about all of the Nintendo games shown there were massively appealing, and providing the Wii U sees a solid price drop of the Gamecube variety then i can definitely see myself buying one. Catch up on all them Wii games too.

I think he's actually talking about Super Mario 3D World.

My stream was doing the same thing and when it came back for a minute I thought they were showing a new Mario party game but it turned out to be 3D World.

This is not good.

Yeah I know what he was on about.

I was just pointing out that for all intents and purposes, of for some inexplicable, unexplainable, totally unfathomable reason he wanted a Mario party game, there was one, just like it.

Which no one would want.

Well, my wife might want it, but she's a twat and only likes candy crush saga right now and you should stop listening to her for games advice.

It kind of pisses me off that Nintendo almost flat out refuse to do anything new, it's mind bending the depths they'll sink to to spin anything out, it's not just grating, or frustrating, it's, and I don't even like the word or anyone using it because it implies someone has nothing better to do, like they're trolling me, just me it would seem, Super Mario 3D World is like the 4 words put together that they've not yet used, I mean they're not even coming up with new words, it's the existing ones used differently. How is that not trolling for a company that exists to be creative. How is it not trolling me, just me it would seem, when Pikmin 3 seems to have been in development for seemingly my entire life and still isn't out yet, not that I have a wii u to play it, but you know, it just strawberry floating annoys me. Every year the expectation is the same; what new but essentially really strawberry floating tired games will they announce. I'm insulted by it. With bands who go gooseberry fool, there's actual physical strains on them through touring or general lack of the same desire, I sympathise and realise. With filmmakers too there's only so much you have to say. Witnessing someone's decline is hard to take, and Shyamalan was never that good, but you can come up with reasons why it has happened and not end up with the conclusion that he's trolling you, although i think I've picked probably the worst example, or ..best. And I can't imagine how difficult it must be to write one novel never mind 14 or whatever, for one person to do that. Nintendo have taken this For Everyone mantra and let it ruin them, all their games have an identity crisis, the point they stopped defining what a Nintendo game could be. If Metroid or F-Zero did not yet exist never in a billion E3 showings would I expect Nintendo to conceive of them now. Were they just formed by rogue Nintendo employers, could Hiroshi Yamauchi not give a strawberry float what they developed, was he even aware. I suppose the biggest crime of Iwata is destroying Miyamoto's creativity, it was all to see in that NGC interview he gave around the time of Pikmin..no but really, that was an inspiring interview. 'Trying to capture different types of fun is all I try to do...that is where I start when trying to come up with new game ideas. Staff are always come up to me with new ideas which really are existing ones with some novelty idea attached to it, or their dream game composing of several different genres.', it's one of the very very very really strawberry floating banana spliting depressingly rare occasions he spoke about game design from the viewpoint that is not of a corporate robot. People cannot interview to save their lives. Tap into their inner child please not as their outer spokesman for an industry/corporate entity. Another form of trolling. Can everyone lie to me that E3 is in december so I miss it next year, then subsequently lie to me each year changing the month it's held so that I frankly can avoid Nintendo. I don't want to know that their new games are exactly same as the ones before, I just don't, you can be dead inside and still feel pain and be insulted.

Please go out of business Nintendo.

Or give me Miyamoto's email address, I want to ask him a few questions. I am loaded with questions. If I ever met a game designer I'd never be able to control myself. :( I'd probably try to rip their face off.

Agree - should have been a 3DS game like wind waker hd imo. I had believed nintendo would show us some epic titles, but all they have done is release a bunch of mediocre looking titles and at the same time elevate the 3DS further. Wii U will be gone by christmas.

Yes, I meant wind waker hd should have been a 3DS game. Seriously though nintendo are quickly becoming a joke - the half baked titles they showed aren't going to convince anyone. We've probably seen our last ever proper 3D Mario game, which is a major shame. I'm out, and even doubt the new zelda will be much to talk about. Knowing them we will get a 3Desque new title.

I used to be a huge Nintendo fanboy but this E3 is final straw, Animal Crossing tomorrow I fear is the last game I'll ever buy from nintendo.

They are more insular with the franchises than ever, and only seem to want to concentrate on a few of them now.

Sure, we have had Nintendoland, Wii Fit and Woo Sports since 2006, but it is more than offset by the fact we have lost F-Zero, Starfox, 1080 and Wave Race.
