So when he announced that things were going to be the same as on PS3 you mean he was...

*gasp*

t-t-t-t-telling the t-t-t-truth?

That's some massive spin you are putting on that information.

Its huge news, just wanted to see the reaction so I made sure it was in all the relevant topics, I guess not everyone was watching the GT feed.

It's down to publishers in the same way that implementing Online Passes, or going Free to Play was up to publishers. The console itself doesn't implement any additional DRM features that the PS3 didn't already have - that was quite clear from yesterday's announcement.

So stop being wrong.

Hugo, demonstrating why I continue to refer to him as a Microsoft employee.

There is no difference, they could include anti-used games DRM and internet-required DRM on the PS3 (or the PS4) but the publishers would have to organise the infrastructure themselves, unlike Microsoft who requires anti-used games DRM and has internet-required DRM included in their Xbone SDK. Hence, time and money would discourage all but the most consumer-hating publishers (and folks developing MMOs).

Okay, so the PS4 is cheaper, more powerful depending on who you ask, has no bar on used games and offers a better value online service.

Can someone please explain to me how anyone can objectively consider Xbox One a better choice? From where I am standing, I can't help but see anyone supporting the One as a having bias problems.

Just watching the conference now. Haven't even got to the PS4 yet and Sony have already won E3 2013.

I think you're massively underestimating how savvy Jonny Gamer Pants is. (Does Jonny Gamer Pants even exist?)

How was the PS3 a success then? ;)

I think that was Shadow's point :dread:

I've just watched the whole thing  I was still on the fence but the PSN+ free games thing is making me think it's time to preorder for day 1, especially as I am interested in Drive Club. One thing that I did notice on the slide in the background when this was announced was something about 'the first year'. Did anyone else catch that? Sucks about having to pay to play online but I think I might use Plus as a rental service and avoid buying many games 8-)

It's probbaly because i'm a seldom poster in GGC but i find Hugo's obstinancy curiously comforting.

I don't know how Sony get away with cancelling active development on Last Guardian and everyone still thinks they had a great E3.

They had enough other games present to make it not seem like a significant loss, plus it has been AWOL for years and we'd all forgotten about it.

Man, Yoshida has been on terrific form. Just about every lingering question gets a concise answer from the guy.
