I always felt bad for the PS3 crew. It's like it wasn't their fault they'd bought the worse console, and they were just trying to enjoy it whist constantly being shat on. Some were dicks obviously.

Now that we're at the end of the generation how anyone can say the 360 did better overall amuses me greatly. I had a 360 up until they decided to kinectify their strategy and since then the ps3 has destroyed it in terms of exclusives and even services.

Agreed, but he has a point here; the exclusive out put over the last couple of years has been better and PS Plus is amazing!!

That was my point - up until then I admit MS exclusive titles and better multiplatform ports certainly beat Sony's. After that though Sony got their act together and released some great exclusives and PS Plus whilst MS changed their strategy completely, hence the new vision for Xbox One.

But does that mean the PS3 was the better console overall (which was his point) or just in the last two years? I'd argue the latter and I'm glad I had a 360 first so I could enjoy Tales of Vesperia, Gears of War and Perfect Dark (among others). And if you agree that the 360 is the better console to have owned overall during the whole generation, then you can once again see gamerforever's fanboy nature.

The whole design and structure change with PS4 says everything you need to know about PS3, even Sony know it.

That's a tough one to call. Now I loved the PGR and Gears of War games, but disliked Halo. The multiplatform ports of GTA4, Red Dead Redemption, Fallout and Skyrim were much better on Xbox 360, however I would say I preferred the PS3 exclusives like Uncharted, God of War and Gran Turismo.

On balance it all depends on which exclusives you prefer tbh.

In terms of hardware I would say Xbox 360 is the all round better performer, although PS3 can outdo it - MS were smarter building a system with enough RAM and one that is easier to develop for. Sony have learnt for the PS4.

In terms of content, overall, I would say they're about even, of course this is down to taste, some will prefer the 360's offerings, some the PS3's. They are both must haves, I was lucky enough to have both in my house (the 360 was my house mates), so I got to play all the great exclusives :) . I have since got my own place and I am considering picking up a 360 to play some of the later exclusives, well, mainly Halo 4.

Yeah, I am feeling a bit sorry for MS - must not go overboard with them now. ;)

Because it's an Xbox thread and certain people are trying to gain the upper hand on Sony fans by pretending it's 3 years ago.
