When it comes to launch game exclusives, I think the PS4 edges it.

Why would Sony hold back on games 'up their sleeve' if they coming out in the next 18months. :fp:

Because they can? Seriously, they have an enormous amount of studio's working on PS4...basically there will be much more coming from the other events this year.

18 months from release means they could show SOMETHING, even a CGI trailer. Nonsense to think they wouldnt announce as many games for the PS4 as possible as some sort of 'stealth' strategy.

Really?

They have Knack, Killzone and Driveclub? What else is a launch exclusive for PS4?

And what does Xbox have? Ryse, Forza and Kinect sports.

Also Photek you do know that a lot of Sony studios didn't even announce any games they were working on last night. And you missed the part, where I said they might not be ready yet. I rather see a few minutes of a game rather than what Microsoft did with Black Tusk last night, which was show 10 seconds with no name. And yes list all the multi-format games you want. :fp:

Yes, they should do what Microsoft did with Black Tusk last night. Show 10 seconds for each game with no name.

I guess Ryse and Titanfall are what impressed me the most. Up there with the best games shown by anyone else so far.

The combat looked very limited to be honest. In terms of graphics it was stunning though.

Apparently they made all the execution prompts come up much faster than they will in the final game in order to demo it onstage.

I'm not saying it looks revolutionary or anything, but it looked like the combat would have a certain weight which I actually prefer to the combo based stuff in games like God of War. Or at least I don't dislike that kind of combat.

I'm more optimistic about Ryse being good than anything that Sony showed.

Looks like those and Dead Rising 3 actually, thinking about it they confirmed 2013 for DR3, so if its not launch it'll be soon after.

And Killer Instinct too.

Not really interested in Kinect Sports or KI, but I'll get the other 3 and none of the PS4 exclusives look as interesting to me.

Don't have any faith in Guerrilla being able to actually make a good game out of Killzone. Knack might be ok, but it didn't show that well and Driveclub doesn't look as good as Forza 5.

That's idiotic Photek. What's with the 'stealth strategy'? You seem to forget GamesCon and TGS. Plus, do you really think Sony doesn't have anything else...like from Guerrilla Games, Naughty Dog, Sony Santa Monica etc? These developers are multiple development teams.

So, what you saw last night...that's it!

Honestly can't believe they tried to announce free games on 360 with AssCreed 2 and Halo 3.

Forget Halo 4 - not even ODST or Reach.

No, but i thought they'd show more games is all. Uncharted 4 would have been great, even just to know it was in development.

MS said some shite about having more studios now than ever before but I dont need to go talking about it cos they showed a gooseberry fool load of games lastnight.

They didn't 'try' to announce it they did announce it.

Be interesting to see what other games they deliver, it could be that they go for the AC2/Brotherhood/Revelations/3 and Halo 3/ODST/Reach/Anniversary/4. I guess that doesn't quite fit with the number of games they announced free (2 each month for 5 months plus Fable 3).

Not sure I'd want that either. But to turn your nose up because the games are older seems to be a bit silly to me.

Looked a little dull to me.

Expect to be waiting quite a while for it too, I think the earliest it could possibly be out is November 2014, wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be a 2015 game.

Even though it wasn't at the MS conference, but yeah, looks really good. Like a more serious and tactical version of Freedom Fighters or something.

Naughty Dog was probably busy with Last of Us to work properly on a brand new Uncharted game.

I thought the show was great, they seemed to understand now that TV and Kinect although important in their overall strategy were not what people wanted to see.

I expected more from Rare, they must have at least one more game in development and we saw nothing from Lionhead either.

The price is a massive mistake, at the very minimum they need to drop the UK price to £399, £429 is just all wrong.

Apart from that it was all good.
