I’m glad I’m not the only one scratching my head there

Devolver are a small publisher that deal primarily with indie studios. They've done loads of stuff, but Hotline Miami was one of theirs.

I haven't watched their conference from last year, but from what I heard it was...... interesting, in a kind of David Lynch sort of way.

Not sure what they'll be doing this year though as last years conference was completely unexpected (in terms of content) and people will be expecting something like it again.

The Devolver anti-Conference last year (as handily quoted above) was quite, quite excellent. It was basically a pisstake of the sort of nonsense EA come out with each E3; over-produced shows with very little content, presenters who have no idea what they're doing and hyperactive crowds stacked with people literally paid to cheer.

Anyone know which conference, if any, is likely to feature Cyberpunk?

I think the smart money is on Microsoft, though PC Gaming Show is also a possibility.

Love E3, genuinely one of my favourite times of the year and I'm glad more publishers are doing conferences than ever before. Though I do have to agree that Bethesda and Sony can go nobble each other off for putting theirs at stupid o clock.

I'll watch all of the, but in terms of what I'm most excited for and which I expect to deliver.

Sony>Ubisoft>Square>MS>Nintendo>Revolver>PCGS

Now just to decide which outlet to go with for pre/post-shows.

:D

Looking forward to seeing more Beyond Good and Evil 2 at Ubisoft and Tomb Raider and Avengers at Square. I will watch the Microsoft conference more for third party stuff that will also come to PlayStation as I don’t bother with the XBone any more.

It’s like Christmas for gamers

I wonder if the remake of Resident Evil 2 will appear somewhere? I would have said Sony but they seem to be focusing on just 4 games?

Thought the Devolver conference last year was awful - definitely won't be wasting my time on that one again.

Despite not owning any of the current consoles I'll probably watch the MS, Sony and Nintendo conferences.
MS is a decent time, Nintendo's I'll probably work from home that day to catch it, and Sony's...yeah I guess I'll watch it afterwards.

Sony has decided to manage expectations this year, specific outlining four games it'll be focusing on during its showcase.

Which ones? Kojima's Death Stranding, Sucker Punch's Ghost of Tsushima, Insomniac's Spider-Man, and Naughty Dog's The Last of Us Part II will be highlighted as part of its first-party line-up.

As usual, Sony can go do one until the morning.

MS changed to Sunday last year.

I don't like watching E3 conferences, everything about them irritates me immensely, from the annoying presenters to the whooping crowds of overexcited man-children - I just want to see the new and upcoming games without the superfluous bullshit.

To be fair to Sony, if they do only focus on those 4 games it'll be pretty decent for me. Death Stranding and Last of Us 2 are more or less certain buys, Spiderman a strong maybe and I've never even heard of Ghost of Tsushima.

I'm just really hoping Nintendo mention an Animal Crossing game for Switch, even if its like Pokemon Switch last year. Just knowing its coming at some point will be fine.

Microsoft really need to have some decent surprises to announce as the exclusives are not looking fantastic at the moment.

What exclusives? :P

Being slightly more serious none of Microsoft's first party output appeals to me in the slightest, can't even recall what they have coming out this year barring Crackdown 3 (if that comes out this year, seems to have been coming out for ages now) and Sea of Thieves earlier on this year (which did look decent to be honest but not enough for me to buy it).

Thanks for making this thread, Milner lad. Will probably catch about 2/3 of the shows, not bothered about PC, Nintendo or Devolver.

I don't watch them anymore either, last time i tried it was just non stop waffle with nothing really happening.

These days i just look up the announcements afterwards.

Might end up missing a few live this year but watching Sony, Square and Nintendo's shows is a priority for me personally. I'm curious to see what MS will deliver considering how quiet they have been on the 1st party side of things. I hope they blow our minds with something big.

All except Devolver, the PC Gaming Show and Bethesda for me. I'm ready for the onslaught.

If that had MS in the sentence it’d be the opposite but with good reason. I do think Sony are coasting a little tho. I don’t think MS have any major surprises this year as the new studio is only starting and Playgrounds expansion for Fable 4 is new.

My expectations are low. I think I rated MS 7/10 last year but most of that was about the X, can’t see it being bettered this year tbh.
