Not bad considering they're not supposed to be announcing any new games

Gotta say this is probably the least excited I've been for an E3 in ages. :?

It'll probably be the last good one of the generation, I expect next year to be like 2012 :dread:

What's the best channel for live E3 coverage?

YouTube@E3 was good with Geoff Keighley last year, any others?

I don't mean for conferences, I mean all the stuff in-between and after like stage gameplay demos and interviews.

I think Geoff’s E3 YouTube stuff is the best, in between that I’ll check Resetera for new trailers and stuff

The problem is if the next gen isn't going to get released until Christmas 2020 will they have enough decent gameplay to show from those new machines?
That's going to be almost 18 months before the launch games are released which means games will be in extremely early condition and the developers will most likely not even have access to final devkits for months.
I have a feeling even next years E3 will be dominated by this generation with only short montages of game clips at the end of conferences to show that the machines do exist and what they hope the result will look like.

That's not always a bad thing as it's kind of interesting to see hardware being pushed to the absolute limits and they will be hopefully have a chance to really stretch the legs of the One X.

Yeah, personally I'd be happy if this E3 and the next one focussed on the current consoles. For me, they don't feel old and I would like to see developers really squeeze the power out of them.

At this point last gen we were seeing PC games that completely blew consoles away.

This generation it's not happened yet.

As for my comment about E3 2012, that's when very few new games were announced as they were being held back for next-gen and 2013, I expect E3 2019 to be just as bad. hi

I think the current consoles have plenty of life left especially with the mid gen upgrades we have had

Cyberpunk 2077, BG&E2 and Death Stranding are the kinds of games I'd expect to have been developed (in part) with the next generation in mind, so cross-platform may be likely.

Of course, I don't want to really think about what's coming next as I'm happy to focus on current hardware for at least another 2 years.

Going out for a meal (Thai :) ) so will miss EA.

Hopefully I'll return home to Anthem gameplay that isn't a graphical downgrade over last year and a new Skate :)

I'll be watching qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix, would have probably watched it otherwise with the nice starting time.

This is mental. Bethesda are set to announce DOOM 2, showcase Fallout 76 and possibly announce Starfield. How is it the least anticipated?

The YouTube coverage doesn’t seem to start this early, so is Twitch maybe the best bet for catching EA?

Twitch is showing a timer, so I'm watching Easy Allies on Twitch.

Pre-show has started.
