Tuesday gave the Nintendo Direct, with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate taking half of the 45-minute presentation. Also shown were Super Mario Party, Daemon x Machina, Fire Emblem Three Houses, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 DLC Torna - The Golden Country, Overcooked 2, Hollow Knight, Killer Queen Black, and a new demo for Octopath Traveller. The first day of the Treehouse gave us a deep dive into Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu / Eevee, Fortnite, Overcooked 2, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Then the finals of the Splatoon 2 World Championships where Europe's defensive strategies failed to hold out for long against the strong team from Japan, who won 4-2. The Super Smash Bros. Invitational had several heated matches on both new and old maps, with the grand final coming to a clash of titans as ZeRo won out against MkLeo to take the title.
Wednesday of the Treehouse gave us a look at some more Smash Bros. Ultimate, but also a range of other games. Mario Tennis Aces, Octopath Traveller, Super Mario Party, Hollow Knight, and Daemon X Machina, as well as the DLC of Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and Splatoon 2.
The Treehouse for Thursday has given looks at two Arcade Archives games - Donkey Kong and Sky Skipper - as well as Starlink: Battle For Atlas. More Smash Bros. Ultimate is to follow.
