Guys, I take your points on board - it appears that I was mistaken to think that Smash and Pokemon are perhaps rather inaccessible at this stage!

I loved the look of Smash and enjoyed seeing the plethora of little touches and nods to the character histories. I just wonder if the action - and controls required - could be a bit demanding. Will have to have a ponder on that.

One game that I am going to look further at is Kiler Black Queen. I'd not seen it before but it immediately reminded me of the old Joust game by Midway. It looks to be great fun!

Thinking about it, it's kind of sad that from Nintendo's E3 direct that an indie game (despite the fact it looks fantastic) is my actual highlight. Best get Hollow Knight downloaded soon :) might try West of Loathing as well as that seems to be well received in reviews and in the "currently playing" thread.

Got Hollow Knight downloading. Been looking forward to this for ages now and held off on Steam as I don't have a controller.

I reasonably assuredly guarantee sir that you'd have a blast with us on hopefully regular Smash GRcade sessions :toot:

I've always though Super Smash Bros was much like Joust.

I would like to do that, dude :) . I think I'm right in saying that there can be up to eight players duking it out? I wonder if we could setup our own room/tournament like with Kart and Rocket?

They're not telling us what's next? Really annoying.

Just a little! Considering how light on content the direct was they could have at least chucked in some more Octopath, Crash and Mario Tennis, would have made it feel a bit less of a Smash direct in my opinion.

As someone who skipped the previous games (3DS/WiiU) I'm more than looking forward to Ultimate. It's great they brought over some of the best looking stages from the 3DS as well.

Looks decent enough performance wise. Glad I never played this on PS4, after reading it console locks your account. Really looking forward to finally getting around to trying this tonight. I wonder if all the Twitch Prime loot I've been claiming will show up if I haven't made an account until now.

Did he just say they've got voice chat through the headphone port?

First order of business will be to disable that then.

The Direct was... Smash was hype, but even I was getting a bit bored with how long it went on. And the Gamecube controllers? MAKE A WIRELESS ONE THAT CONNECTS DIRECTLY TO THE SWITCH! YOU DO REALISE THIS IS A HANDHELD AS WELL AS A CONSOLE, RIGHT?
Ahem... On par with 2015, I think.

Seems the Treehouse is running on a 2016 set-up this year. Or at least I hope it's just for today due to the very decreased run-time to make way for the competitions.

Smash again next ( :x ). Going to give it a break for tonight and catch up on what I miss later. If there's news about Yoshi, hopefully someone will pass it on.

Please don't be a repeat of 2016... Please don't be a repeat of 2016...
Wait, they showed off something alongside 'mon. Repeat avoided.
I hope.

But seriously, they have an hour left until the Splatoon 2 World Championships begins. They've spent an hour on Smash already, not counting this current session. Are they really planning on keeping this on? With two more days of Treehouse? Do they really have other announcements being saved?
