Thanks Venom.

They're meant to be unlisted initially until Errkal can share them on Twitter, Facebook etc.

As for the text on screen I used OBS to capture a mumble overlay and the audio so it's actually a separate video file with a bit of chromakeying over it so that only the text is visible. It's a bit scrappy but it does the job.

And yeah I underestimated the amount of work each one needed. I'm not gonna lie though, I did very little to the audio portion of each one, with little to no editing so it's up there warts and all. The only audio work I really did was to cut my dialogue back in for the Nintendo one (It was missing from the first ten minutes or so and had to use Pedz recording to fix it) and to boost Karl's audio in one or two places.

I'm up for doing something like this more often. Will I do this again next year? I don't know yet. It's been a lot of work and I've not really had a chance to watch a lot of the surrounding commentary (Easy Allies, IGN, Eurogamer etc) which I really missed. But we'll see. The response so far has been great and they've generated a lot of views in a relatively short time.

You took on quite a task in planning to produce so many vids, Devlin, and from my (limited) experience of this they do take *ages* to prepare! I have huge respect for the effort that you and the supporting guys put into this; it has resulted in some ace stuff for GRcadians to enjoy :toot: .

Thanks Jawa.

I've just been informed that the Sony one cuts off abruptly towards the end. :fp:

I need another week off to recover from all this. Basically running on fumes and things are slipping through the cracks. I'll upload a fixed version over the weekend.

I can answer some of those things. The mumble overlay thing is a clever use of what we've been using for game streams for a while, except cheeky was recording videos in the background instead. It's a plugin for OBS software so the automatic.

Btw the distinctive accents I agree were cool.

And the unlisted thing I think is just a hangover from when you upload stuff to youtube and a policy we had that isn't needed anymore as people are describing the videos well before publishing them. I'll take a look.

Edit: last page. :x

Cheeky is right about the social media thing. Youtube videos get a slight visibility boost when they're first published. Will check to see where we're at.

"It should be common sense to just accept the message Nintendo are sending out through their actions."

The Ubisoft conference FINALLY makes it to Youtube.

I'm at work so I've not updated any of the details for it on Youtube yet, but Errkal should be seeing to that.

There's light at the end of the E3 tunnel!

Coming later tonight, Nintendo!

Nice.

Great work on doing all of this, setting up the chats, doing all the editing, must be a ball ache. Still it was really enjoyable taking part and would love to take part in a regular podcast. Hope it hasn't been to stressful for you given you had a week off of work to basically work on these. Anyway a great thanks to you for this.

Are you aware the Sony one seems to have cut off the last 10 minutes of our conversation?

Would be really interested to hear the feedback of more people.

Yeah Venom told me. I'm gonna upload a fixed version over the weekend.

Nintendo is uploading as I write this. It should be up in an hour and a half or so.

We did talk about doing a podcast so we could try making an hour long one every month. In the weeks leading up the to recording, we could each make notes of what we want to discuss and then come up with a structure that is led by the host.

The full set, apart from the end of our Sony one :D

Again, excellent work Devlin.

From my point of view I think I enjoyed doing the Ubi one the most. Maybe because I was still buzzing from the previous night and I wasn't at work. I enjoyed the freedom to just ramble on and there's so much to talk about with Ubi as well it was just good vibes

The Sony one I think in terms of a podcast format is the best setup, a host with 3 guests just works well, lots of different opinions with everyone getting a good amount of time to speak. I think 5 people was just a bit too many and I was constantly worried about cutting across people so I just didn't think it flowed as well, though part of that might have been down to not having the set structure to follow like with the others.

I think 4 was a good number and the lack of a real structure for Nintendo meant it felt a bit scattergun in it's approach. I think it's mostly down to to us all still being "Oh god did you see..." at the time.

But yeah I had a blast recording them. It's just a shame I had problems behind the scenes with a few of them. It was utterly exhausting as well. But totally worth it I think.

As for a Podcast..... I'll see what I can do once I've finished this run of ARcade Attacks!
