I was expecting Sony and Microsoft to be mediocre at best from the start.

For me, the biggest disappointment was Nintendo. I'm not saying they were bad but I expected so much more from them.
The WiiU announcement was a confusing mess, at first it was incredibly difficult to tell if they were unveiling an entirely new console or just a new controller for the Wii, which wasn't helped by them only showing it being used with already existing Wii games at first.
Even when it did start to become more obvious that this was an entirely new console, all we got was announcements for games that are already going to be out on PS3 and Xbox 360, likely earlier than the WiiU comes out.

It's like you've never played Saints Row. While they're both sandbox games, the styles are remarkably different. Both can co-exist without them having to be in competition with one another.

I liked the idea of a really good looking downloadable traditional platformer is all.

No, SR is what GTA used to be. Fun.

Technically GTA4 was excellent, but it wasn't a patch on SR2 for pure, unadulterated fun.

Still, it would have been good to see where R* are taking the next GTA.

If the Ballad Of Gay Tony is anything to go by, Rockstar's taking GTA to fun new places.

Hearing Mario 3D doesn't have full analogue control. Holding B to run is a little archaic.

I enjoyed it too, but it wasn't as much fun, particularly in co-op, as SR2. In fact GTA4, outside the core story, was very limited in what you could do.

Just for the record, Vice City is still the best GTA.

Do the SR games have online co-op through the campaign/story?
