Those are some quite interesting statistics. It is certainly quite the contrast to a fair amount of online reactions to the conferences. I'm not surprised Rage seems to have so many nominations; it looks and sounds amazing, especially if their platform parity comments are to be believed. I was wondering if perhaps I was being overly optimistic judging from some of the reactions from people here, but it is reassuring it seems to be leading the pack in terms of nominations. Dance Central seems to have tickled both fan boys interests and critics alike, although for contrasting reasons it would seem.

Infamous 2 gets nominated for best Console game but no nominations in best action or best action/adventure game? Makes no sense, when other console games which were not nominated for best console game are in those categories. :?

Also where is Journey?

Not many people actually saw it. And it's pretty hard to pigeonhole into any of the set genres.
