A 9 is better than a 10, then?

Ubisoft 6/10 Rayman looked amazing and Trials coming to Playstation is great news but the best game was The Division at the end. Looked interesting. Sick of Ass Creed. TV stuff was awful. Aisha Tyler is entertaining but tends to go overboard on innuendos but better than Mr. Caffeine at any rate. Why was every strawberry floating game shown as a CG trailer when there's absolutely no need to do so? :| And then they show gameplay footage after. How much money do they blow on pointless gooseberry fool like that?

I'm giving Ubisoft a solid 7. Great energy.

Oh, and then minus 7 for all the CGI trailers.

Ubisoft - 5/10

The Division bumped this up quite a bit as it looks amazing. Doesn't excuse 1 hour of CGI gooseberry fool though.

Ubi - 5
gooseberry fool trailer after gooseberry fool trailer, way too long spent on a dull looking and irrelevant driving game plus Ass Creed. Spectacular turnaround from last year.

Stick of Truth has the potential to be great though. The Division saved it slightly at the end too, very interesting.

MS couldn't have gotten a 10. There was absolutely nothing they could have done to get a perfect score.

Ubisoft - 6/10. Better than EA.

People massively over-hyping Division though.

Sony 10/10

I even forgive the stuttering demos.

Sony 10/10 Best conference ever? Not just only about the games, but dropping all kinds of bombs in Microsoft's general direction. The Jack Tretton bit was probably the best moment in the history of E3. Just incredible.

Sony - 10/10

Were initially heading towards a 9/10, great pacing, didn't spend too long on each thing and GAMES GAMES GAMES. What made it perhaps the best E3 Conference I have ever seen was Sony shitting all over Microsoft. Well worth staying up for.

Sony 8/10

No Naughty Dog, no LBP.
Slow start to the conference, it really picked up after the indie devs were on.
Not really any exclusive games I am too excited about.
No launch date, I know it is launching this year, but is it in all regions?
Live copy

Amazing shots to the face of MS. Just amazing. You don't get to see that every strawberry floating day.

Sony 9/10
Loses a point for online paywall, but they killed it with everything else.
The lack of Last Guardian, Naughty Dog, and Media Molecule just shows what a great line-up they have.

Microsoft 7/10
Some good games shown, but MGS4 stole the show and that's multiplatform. Price is too high and there was no backtracking on their DRM which means the console is a no-buy for me.

Sony 7/10

Lack of new PS4 exclusives really hurt them as far as I'm concerned.

Man I was there! Following some long battles I got into both the Microsoft and Sony conferences. After the current-gen swan songs at E3 last year this year had to be better and by golly it was.

Microsoft's conference showed GAMES. Although I was personally disappointed to see no new Fable IV. I really did enjoy seeing the Halo trailer. Other attendees I spoke to came out pleased with the titles although no one was punching the air. After the hype from Major Nelson last week the Xbox 360One announcement was an anticlimax . It doesn't have a mass market price and the UK is being made to pay more than USA (even accounting for VAT.) Although Im not a fan of too much talking I did feel the MS faces were not on stage enough and their was no one man or woman leading the presentation. I give Microsoft an E3 review score of B.

But the Sony conference... the atmosphere was electric. It helped that it came as the end of a very busy day where Sony had laid on an outdoor soiree with free food and booze. Inside, at the start, the general mood was that people were in high spirits. The console was shown and it didn't look PS3 super slim bad. Then the last quarter of an hour. Jack Tretton explicitly commenting on DRM, and always online. The stadium went absolutely mental clapping, hollering, cheering. And Tretton was like a showman that kept laying on punch after punch and milking the reaction perfectly. I'm so glad I was there for that. :D I haven't watched the feed yet but I doubt it will capture the extent of the reaction. Nice to see FFXV and Elder Scrolls online but they are not exclusives. 1886 looked real interesting but there was no Uncharted or The Last Guardian - if I was grading out of 10 then Sony would have got less than perfect score but following Alving Flummux's rating. I give Sony an E3 review score of A.

If the microsoft conference did not have its higher share of multi format AAA titles on its presentation it would have done much worse. Sony has all those games too and much much more @ £349 and I get free games with my existing PS+ subscription. Wow, incredible. 10 out of 10.

The console has such a nice design too.
